I have about 30 minutes in the game and I absolutely love it.

It's making me question how Valve's way of designing puzzles, Revolution breaks so many standards to the "Portal" formula it's insane, in the first section alone I was sitting there scratching my head wondering how on earth could I solve this.

If Valve hasn't hired this team they certainly need to, because they made the best Portal fanmake ever. Period.

It's quite a nice grind as a single-player game, it's rewarding and it has plenty variety as is, but you can easily spice it up with Mods and few friends thrown in to make magic happen.

If you've got a stack and like hoard games then it's an easy buy.

(if you want mods, I'd recommend getting Goku. Yes he's really there.)

Early Access Review
Sub management plus creepy crawlers
This game is a blast but can also be complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ madness.

I usually play in a party of 5+ people and its a hell of experience, the game is hard as nails and we constantly endure struggle.

Gameplay?
As of writing I have about 20 hours of actual playtime and about 8 hours of sub building.

The actual sub management is a slow burning one, everything is very straightforward on the surface but really shining when everything inevitable goes to ♥♥♥♥. You need to manage hull, water damage, electronics, and even crew to survive and explore the coolest depths.

Sub-Building is extremely in depth, I've spent hours learning how to build a complete ship only to see it has a crippling design flaw. It's intuitive, if you give it the time to learn the UI you can make anything you want honestly.

If you've got friends its a good buy, I haven't played much with AI so I can't give my opinion on it but as far as I can tell the AI is competent which could be volumes more than your Human counterpart lol.

Non the less, it's fun, I'd recommend it.

You ever played "TANKS" on addicting games? It's literally that on steroids.

Would ♥♥♥♥ on my friends with childhood memories again.

Games like this are far and few in between, but this game is an experience. Alot of other reviews say you must go blind in your playthrough of it and they are not wrong. There is a warning tag at the beginning of the game and do not take that lightly, it means it through and through, but don't let that tag discourage you from playing it, please play it and continue to play through til you reach the credits only then will you know how a game can envoke true feelings in a player.

This section below is for those who have finished the game, spoilers ahead
To only those who have finished the game and are now reading the reviews in shock of your experience, I would like to share to you my experience, the game was grim, it may even cause you to have nightmares, in my case it gave me PTSD to events that closly paralleled my life events in the game. But. This game dispite it's cute facade, it's an absolute genius experience that tugs on your feelings as if you were a harp. It's harsh and real reality that the games characters can't cope with the fact they are nothing more than code, but when ignorant about the truth they are cheery to non the wiser.
Act 1
I intially came looking to this game as a Dating Sim, I picked my Waifu (Natsuki) and proceeded on, the hints of dark undertones of this game creep out at you and shows you it's true nature but I imagine like many players, they ignored them and couldn't imagine such a cute game would take a dark and serious to route, hence ignorance is bliss. When Sayori tells you shes depressed in her bedroom, the game took a turn for me, I've been in that situation before and I know the real conquences that could come from it. I knew what would happen before it even happened. The build up to the end, at that point I knew my choices wouldn't matter but I still directed my attention as much as I was able to Sayori. However it doesn't matter, you still get the line that shook me once I read it because I knew its double meaning as soon and it was spoke, "... you left Sayori hanging" after these words, dread floods in as you know what you're about to see, I braced myself for it but even that wasn't enough for the shock that your childhood friend now was nothing more than a lifeless husk of her former self. The gut punch that your decisions directly impacted her death, that you were the one to blame. For me this section of the game was about an hour and half of playtime for me, so in that timeframe I'm honestly impressed with how much emotional pull this game had achived in me in such short time.
Act 2
The game resets itself and I find myself distaught to find Sayori glitched and mangled and seeing the glitched continue button do I realize, this games "playthrough" is far from over, upon starting again and seeing Sayori warped and distorted made me sick to my stomach, her lines ruined, her existance fading. The games once cute image is ruined by dread of the unknown. Once reaching the school and starting to talk with Monika, the game pauses for a second and the lets off an ear peircing scream in my headset that caused me to jump so badly that I threw my headset off in fear. After looking around I guess the game has random mechanics that cause unnerving events to happen. After this I was very paranoid and turned my in game audio to 5%, the rest of the this act is unnerving as the once calm and collected Yuri becomes a complete pshycotic and obsessive character, with her unnerving eyes. This part makes you feel uncomfortable and does it exceedingly well. The ending takes place on the friday before the "date" on sunday and at this section you are given a Yes or No choice to accept Yuri's love, your choice doesn't matter as either path results in her graphically stabbing herself to death infront of you, you are then panned down to her lifeless corspe and are set there with nothing but scrambled text and waiting for the weekend to end as you get to see her corspe start to decay infront of your eyes. The realization that you were watching her decompose startled me uncontrollably. The weekend ends and the students come back to the club to find you there with Yuri's body. Then the true reason these events have been happening, Monika, oh Monika has been behind everything this whole time. Her being a Yandere in the shadows, killing those who took liking to you. In my opinion this ends "Act 2".
Edit: I wasn't aware that the choice at the beginning where Natsuki and Yuri fight and you click the girls name it chooses them as the girl of priority in the 2nd Act.
Act 3
With our newfound realization of what has been going on Monika warps the game around her, you are put into a room with just yourself and her together forever, she talks about how she just deleted their files and it was so easy, going into detail of where to find the files. This is the games hint that clearly you should delete Monika's gamefile, this really fascinated me. You do that and she warps the game and tells you you're the worst and you're left there alone for a minute, she then comes back and tells you that she was wrong and that she'll set the game up again without her being there to ruin it. The game resets and we're welcomed to the title screen again, cheery music and it no longer has Monika. The game plays the same as It did in the beginning in the first act except we end up going to the club ourselves. At this point in time, I technically gotten what I wanted, I wanted a Dating Sim and was given one to me by Monika, but after all the hurt I didn't want it anymore, it wasn't what i wished for. The game continues and you see Yuri and Natsuki getting along and not fighting like they did before, they even go out and go to the bookstore together, they're becoming real friends something that Natsuki states before in Act 2. After they take their leave you're left there with Soyori alone together and then reveals that she made this all happen, that she now has the power that Monika once had, then it stops, Monika stops it all. She says that this world is nothing but grief and sadness with that realization, that they are nothing more than lines of code. That no matter what they do that they could never make the player happy. She then goes through and the credits start to roll, she slowly deletes pictures one by one as they scroll up the screen, I dug into the files to find where these pictures were and she really does delete them one by one like she messes with the character files. You at the end of the game, hear her play piano, how she finally shows you after all this time since Act 1 when she first references it. You get to hear her sing as well. It gave me a eerie and somber feeling, but it also made me smile. With her final goodbyes she leaves you one last note before the game becomes corrupted.
Fin

This game is a real work of art, I'm amazed that it was able to shake such feelings from me and I can't say how impressed I am with the design and the pacing of it. It's something I couldn't recommend enough but I really do believe this game isn't for everyone, I'm writing this review the day after playing it and I honestly still am shaken by it but I can say I really enjoyed my time with it.
