Here I thought I was friends with some competent, well-rounded, quick thinking individuals...

I was SEVERELY mistaken.

An outstanding, well-executed, encapsulating addition to the franchise.
A definite recommendation for anyone looking for something to get lost in. And maybe shed a tear or two.

Deck Nine have brought their best foot forward in bringing Alex Chen, Haven Springs, and all it's residents to such an immersive stage. It's clear how much time, effort, and budget can affect the outcome of something; and Deck Nine did not fall short in the slightest.

LiS has always had a killer soundtrack since the first game, and they continue to shine in True Colors. Such a fantastic ensemble of songs really help seat you deep into the heart of the world they built, and engross you in the situations you find yourself in. Another LiS game, another x amount of time spent just sitting and enjoying the wonderful soundtrack. I "sat" everywhere I could, and stayed as long as I was able to, just to finish a song. Truly blissful.

The animations have got to be the biggest, and most needed improvement since LiS 1. With gradual improvements every release from the franchise, it was clear that more budget = better quality. It makes me stoked for the remaster. Something so small as watching a character's eyes dart around when they're feeling nervous or scared, to seeing the anger build up inside them and pour its way out through a character's facial expression is awe-inspiring to say the least. Everything felt so natural; so real. Albeit facial animations weren't the only thing that they focused on, characters moved and interacted with one another so seamlessly. In games were a character's emotions are at the forefront, I'm more than happy to say that Deck Nine really hit the nail on the head with how the brought those emotions to the stage.

Alex Chen has to be one of my favorite characters they've introduced. Her powers, at first, seemed something I wouldn't care too much about. I mean, Max controls time, Daniel is telekinetic, and Alex can... read people's emotions? Needless to say, the way they incorporated her powers was relieving to say the least. I didn't expect to be so impacted by having to understand, and at times control, other people's emotions. But it was the simple act of digging deeper into others to help them understanding their demons is what really set Alex apart in my mind. Also making her effectively able to read minds, so definitely not as bad as I thought at first.

True Colors has within it an amazing, enveloping story that was a joy to discover. It was something so real and natural, but estranged and mystical all at the same time. Deck Nine did a fantastic job at creating and telling Alex's story through Haven Springs and the cast of characters she interacts with. In every LiS game, there's always a crucial message with real life connections to discover and experience. In Alex's case, with being orphaned, living through the foster care system, wanting so desperately to find what it's like to call something "home", and to discover what it's like to belong to a family. Alex's story is one I'll never forget.

True Colors is beautiful, thoughtful, engaging, and mesmerizing to experience and enjoy. I can't wait to see what's next for the franchise!

Detroit: Become Human is a gripping endeavor into the complicated moral dilemma of what constitutes "being". As technology progresses ever forward, do we as a species possess the fortitude to overcome our carnal reality, or do we fail to come to grips with the possibility of other intelligent life?

Choices matter is an understatement in this game. From the time-limited pressure of a situation, to the bewilderment of choices that need to be made; DBH does everything right in conveying the weight a player bares when making a decision. It may be a stretch, but I strongly think this is the best option the "choices matter" genre has to offer. Thanks to a visual flowchart in-game, we have a clear view of how different our story - and characters - could've turned out if we had decided otherwise. It's not to say there aren't "fixed points" within the story, but those points don't feel like they inhibit or devalue the choices a player makes leading up to that point. Every choice has a purpose, and every action it's consequence.

I am usually not a big fan of quick time events in games, but here I feel it was executed brilliantly. There's two difficulty that you can choose to play on; casual and experienced. From what I understand, the alter how complex and precise your inputs have to be in QTE. I played through on casual, and even then I still felt a challenge. I'll definitely have a go at the story on experienced but I could only imagine how much more tension and stress that would add to every confrontation let alone interaction in the game.

Graphically, I can't begin to explain how amazing DBH looks. Every moment is so picturesque that I'd forget I'm playing a game sometimes if it wasn't for QTE popups or the seldom "objective notification". Quantic Dream have delivered a magnificent piece of art. Every minute detail from character interactions to the world environment is so well executed, and painstakingly beautiful; an absolute treat for the eyes.

The story is utterly amazing. It's engrossing and surreal from the start, I couldn't help but want to know more. The way three seemingly different paths of life connect into one congruent goal was something I wasn't expecting, but was glad it happened. My time spent developing and learning about each character you meet was a memorable experience. Connor, Kara, and Markus provide significantly different perspectives into the overarching theme of Transhumanism and the different facets of that discussion. Having such different viewpoints really helps show and enforce how this creeping possibility of our future isn't as easy to tackle as one might think. A compelling, thrilling, and riveting experience through and through.

I'm a little ashamed it took me so long to finally get around to playing this game. I've heard it about it for a while, and heard nothing but great things. But to experience it first hand was truly breathtaking. I would severely encourage any and everyone to play through it, and immerse yourself into the world and it's story.

This is an amazing addition to CDPR's arsenal.

Of course, bugs are here, glitches are there, but nothing ever truly stopped me from wanting to push for more. To keep playing and to further envelop myself in Night City and my journey as V. I can't help but to be hopefully that with some more time and fine tuning from CDPR, this game will shed all it's negative fanbase. I mean either I got lucky or what, but aside from visual glitches, I never encountered anything "gamebreaking" or outright "refund worthy" in the slightest.

The story and character design is what I feel really sets the bar high. It's simply outstanding. With semi-high expectations coming from the Witcher series, I'm glad to stay that I was more than pleased. Having developed such an immense attachment, and a thirst to know more about who these people are really shows how well CDPR wrote and designed them. You feel absolutely sucked in and immersed into this world and it's people. Without going into spoilers, Cyberpunk definitely lends itself to multiple playthrough's and I can't wait to experience them.

Combat feels great. You can really play to the style that you want; no question. Wanna be loud? Let it loose. Have more of a stealth approach? Just quickhack everything and clear an area without leaving the street. Guns feel hefty, and shoot with purpose. Melee weapons sometimes feel floaty, but clearing house with blades coming out of your forearms is pretty dope. From perk choices, to weapons, to cyberware modifications, you can really build a V that you want.

Don't think I need to say much, if anything at all, about how beautiful this game looks. Graphical fidelity in Cyberpunk is phenomenal. RTX On or not, the game truly shines in it's aesthetic. Especially with the inclusion of an in-game Photo Mode making it super convenient to capture and preserve the beauty of Night City.

Soundtrack and sound design are also amazing. It' supports the theme of the game so well, and adds to that immersive factor of being in a future like 2077. The radio stations have some absolute bangers, and without a doubt your music should be on in this game. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't.

Overall, I'm in love with the game, and ecstatic for what the future brings for it. I would highly recommend to anyone thirsting for a new adventure.

Haven't ever dabbled in the movie seciton of Steam, and was a little reluctant about this one. Although after watching the trailer, and considering their weren't any negative reviews of it on steam (as of yet), I chose to wing it.

It's a pretty gripping mystery-sci-fi movie revolving around a group of friends who get together for dinner on the night of a comet's passing. What starts as a semingly friendly dinner, with playful banter, turns into a heated intergation and battle for explanation to determine what's goingon in their seemingly ordinary neighborhood. This movie takes direct inspiration from the thought experiment of "Schrödinger's Cat", except where there is no cat, but people. Instead of a vial of poison, it's their personalities and consciousness.

I'd have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I thought their take on "Schrödinger's Cat" was interesting, and it's execution was okay. The acting succeded my expections for an indie movie on Steam, and I felt the actors played their characters genuinely. It defintiely held my attention throughout the whole movie, and the ending left me wanting more.

Bought this game for the multiplayer with friends, and its pretty fun and refreshing considering the last CoD game I've played was MW2 on console. The maps are heavily detailed, which is nice to look at. The huge amount of weapon customizations and skin unlocks that can be had make this game worth playing more than one session; at least multiplayer.

But, on the real, ♥♥♥♥ the campaign or anything that has to do with story in this game. Especially "Nightmares" mode. Story has not, and never will be the focal point of any CoD game, and I think they should stick to what their demographic is really interested in; multiplayer. It's better to have no campaign and no story, than to have a god awful linear campaign with a dysyntery-contracted-world-war-2-veteran storyline. But the bulk of my complaints about story hover around this "Nightmares" mode, which has to single handedly be the WORST gaming experience I've ever had. I'm pretty sure an illiterate shellfish from the bottom of the Mariana's Trench, who has never seen the light of any video game level, can fabricate and develop a campaign that'll greatly surpass that of BO3.

Also, ♥♥♥♥ Hendricks. Lil slow ass.

I thoroughly plan to rewrite this review after looking back since falling in love with the game 2 years ago. Trying to make it a little less "me gushing about the game" and more so a review... of some kind... itll proabably be me still gushing about it. Oh well, it should be better.

Life is Strange is a fantastic addition to the episodic-choice-based genre of games. Taking place in fictional Arcadia Bay, Oregon you play as Maxine Caulfield; a senior in high school attending the reknowned art school Blackwell Academy. A budding photographer, Max is reluctant, and frankly, rather overwhelmed and bewildered of where her life will lead. Anxious of the future, it isnt until she experiences the murder of a girl when she finds out she has the power to rewind time, and that her world will be thrown into a whirlwind of tragedy, emotion, and choice.

My time spent with this piece of art is something I will forever hold dear. When you develop an inexplicable love, attachment, and understanding for each and every character, noting their individuality and how well they are represented throughout, you know that you aren't playing a game, but experiencing a magnificent representation of what it is like to love and cherish, to hate and forgive.

The story cuts deep into your heart of hearts, claws and gnaws at your moral compass, and thows you down into the depths to dwell in your remores, yet raises you high into the light to feel rejoiceful all at the same time. The choices poised here are more than just yes's and no's; each and every choice holds within itself a plethora of emotions that run rampant throughout your mind as you progress. You will feel the alcohol-soaked cut from one choice, and the soothing salve of relief from another. To think you have made the right choice at the start is to commit a fallacy. To better understand not only the choices, but the tremendous impact you leave on the people of Arcadia Bay, rewind and go back. The right choice is solemnly the first choice.

Nothing can really prepare you for what is to come when first experience this story for yourself; nothing can help ease you into the discomfort of knowing the outcomes of a choice, and the impact your actions will on the characters you grow to love, and perhaps it is better that way.
