Great for beginners, if you know the basics of Python then you are pretty much good to go.
If, however, you don't know python, then don't be discouraged - it is one of the simplest programming languages (if not the), If you don't feel confident jumping straight into Godot, then you can start with Python first. I am mentioning Python because GDscript ( Godot's main language) is really similar to it. There is also a code-free way of making software in Godot, through VisualScript, I never used it so I can't say if it is good or not.
Take advantage of the online official Godot Docs, you can find about 99% of all the information you need there. (In case you can't find something, then their official discord is pretty good too) For me personally it took me quite a bit of time for everything to click (namely the node system), but now I can not see the world without it! The docs explain the basics really well, I can however see why reading that much can be quite jarring. If you are stuck in the same position as I was, then watch as couple of in-depth tutorials of varying levels of skill and try to spend a good amount of time playing around in the engine itself, the more knowledge you can accumulate - the better. Online tutorials, unlike docs, are not updated 24/7, so make sure what you are watching, is for the most recent version of Godot.
(exceptions are Version 3.1 and 3.2, which are basically the same when it comes to basics )

GDQuest Youtube channel is an excellent source of information, they have lots of videos for both specific topics and general tutorials for creating a game from start to finish.
