Great game to play solo or with a friend/friends. Part of what this game does really well is making you feel like a mortal who (if RNGsus allows it) has ascended to godhood, then you get to the next stage and are promptly put in your place. Or you stomp everything and chase that high for the next few runs, game balances it well. Definitely a recommend and the DLC too
