SPOILERS ENTAILED BELOW

At this point, I have finished my first playthrough. And what can I say what already hasn't been said? As a massive fan of the original tabletop RPG, it amazes me to the detail of what they've brought to the game. One of the major lacking features, however, is cyberspace. Later on, you do get to visit it a handful of times, but it is not somewhere you get to freely visit or do what you like inside. It is simply used as a plot device. I guess I should talk about the performance and bugs. I currently run an i7 10700k, and an RTX 2070 Super. Not the most top of the line hardware, however it is more than sufficient enough for me to maintain 45-50 FPS at ultra, (No RTX or DLSS enabled) 1440p. With DLSS (quality mode) enabled, I can hit 60-65 FPS at the same settings. It runs fairly well, all considered that the 2070 Super was never a 1440p card. Bugs wise, it is fairly buggy, but it has never completely broken, nor have I experienced crashes. Most bugs are animation/graphical. Such as NPCs floating, animations never playing out (characters not actually speaking, mouths completely non-moving.) It's quite a nice game, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something adjacent to games like Deus Ex.

UPDATE: Up until recently, the game had been relatively stable and I experienced few bugs or glitches. However, after finishing the recent episode of mandalorian, I decided I'd return to my second playthrough only to encounter crash after crash after crash attempting to launch the game. I should mention, that the performance has also gotten significantly worse in the past couple days. Before, my performance was stable (as reflected above) but now I can barely pull 40 fps with dlss enabled (no rtx). The launcher, also, did not function correctly. I couldn't log in, nor would I be able to click play. I performed a clean install, but it did nothing. I had to launch the game through the executible to get it to boot up. But now, the game doesn't even work. I'm upset, I really am. I've defended this game to the fact that my experience was fantastic, and I enjoyed the title for what it is. But this is inexcusable. I will be attempting to get a refund (something I NEVER do with the amount of time spent on the title) but if the title doesn't function, and with the way refunds are being tossed around for this game, I think it's only fair. I'll maybe return to this game at a later date like I did no man's sky. Hopefully things will be better.

Early Access Review
Great for when your friends get killed and you sit there confused as to where they died.

Despite my few hours played, this has gotta be one of my favorite games that has released this year. As someone who loved the first game, my excitement was through the roof when I saw the teaser images and trailers released by the developers. It manages to take what was so great about the first game, and turn it into a 3d shooter with a now, far better multiplayer system. Would highly recommend this if you are at all interested in rouge likes ala binding of isaac, enter the gungeon or others.
Update: Well on after it's release, and I still only have ~24 hours at this time of writing. I know people with hundreds of hours played, and I can only say, that it's well worth that time if you can find the time to play it. I rarely pick it up, every once and a while to do a quick run or two. And out of all the titles released this year (it left early access in August), this has been the one I've been able to truly say that I enjoyed it top to bottom. There's little to dislike. Very little. It's one of the most relaxing; yet tense experiences (especially with a bunch of relics on on monsoon difficulty) that I never say no to when asked to play. Congrats Hopoo, you've outdone yourself and many others.
