Runs great on steamdeck. Played it through with my daughter on steamdeck and we had loads of fun. really great game with widely varying playstyle with each level and "weapon"combo. We had most fun in the winter levels with all the great things to discover and just icescating around throwing snowballs at each other while finding fun things to do was really satisfying. two thumbs up. best game I played this year!

The installation is hellishly slow and each time you want to play you have to wait ages for forced updates...

The game itself gets boring quite fast (for me at least)

When I decided to uninstall. It does not give you back the >100gb of disk space. It says uninstalled, but the space is gone. WTF?!

got my key revoked somehow. don't even remember where I got it but after 3 years (steam said I got the key 2018) that's too long a time to revoke a key for. either you have problems with it in the beginning or not. to come up with that ♥♥♥♥ after three years is just not fair. won't buy it _again_. won't recommend. I put it on my ignore list. even if I saw it on a sale somewhere who says they won't just remove it from my account in 2024 again. idiots.

tl;dr: rant about uplay client not the actual game.

ok, just started this game and the hassle with the ubisoft launcher refusing to recognize the game I bought on steam and having me copy paste the key into their crappy client and then I play the game (which seems ok-ish) I get bombarded with online crap but the hurt on top of the insult is: When I actually need an online feature that useful and working perfectly fine in steam namely cloud sync of save games, uplay just craps out! https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/Faqs/000018557/Cloud-sync-and-backing-up-your-save-games
They do not have cloud sync! they want me to copy the savegame via usb stick from one pc to another! What the F do I need your crap client for if it can't even cloud sync? F U bisoft!

Credits just rolled and I give this game a thumbs up (btw. do let those credits roll and watch. don't miss that cutscene just saying ;)
I quite liked the story and if only they made the game like the great mafia II and only put one story mission after the other it would have been a great game finished in some 20h or so. But the fact that I needed 3x that time and the game stole me the time by making me do repetetive stuff is not right. Still a lot of it (I mean the repetitive ♥♥♥♥♥) could be avoided if you steer clear of anything optional and go straight and only for the story missions. There's a lot of different stuff in there, quite surprising and lovingly detailed areas that are just fun to explore (got shot quite a few times while I was looking around astonished :D
As for bugs: haven't seen any. As for the story: well enough though some stuff doesn't make sense at all. most of it is quite straightforward and good enough. The priest gets on my nerves though. I think it gets better toward the end in fact.
Anyway, Final verdict: do play it for story missions. those are fun (well the final ones for each racket). and the cutscenes, too (mostly.)

Great great great game. Must play! much better than mafia 1 for sure.
First it looks gourgeous and plays fluent. It is fun driving around and listening to the great soundtrack (radio stations), the missions are fun and mostly bugfree (well besides one time joe got stuck but bumping into him a few times got him going again.) And the story is amazing! oh and there's really nice collectibles for once ;)
