Monsters were more bothersome than scary, but the story is what was truely terrifying, best narriative I've played in a long time, would recommend to anybody who plays games for stories and likes to be kept up at night hours after finishing, still thinking about the imlications of what you just played.
9/10 woulda been better if the monsters weren't just an annoyance or if dying actually affected your progress any more than getting a blurry screen. SOMA got way less scary once the monster caught me and Simon got up like nothing happened.

Early Access Review
I really enjoyed this game, ended up getting pretty invested and playing just under two hours in one sitting. unfortunately after my first save I went back to the game and the menu would no longer load like before. I've come back every time the game gets updated but it seems like I'll never get to finish it. Great game, unusable menu... I guess? I'll delete this if they fix it.

By far the best sandbox game I've ever played, with fully customizable gameplay from maps to weapons, controls, HUD and even your controls and movement on some custom gamemodes. Gmod can be made into anything you need it to be, from horror to murder mystery to sidescroller to roleplay to FPS style PvP game.

Full mod support, of course the whole game is a mod on HL2, so that's a given, pretty much anything you want in the game will be on the steam workshop and can be installed safely with one button. Although a lot of the more niche mods were lost when garrysmod.org got shut down, the workshop is still alive and well and new uploads come in every day so soon it may be the same as garrysmod.org.

Basically this game is Little Big Planet on source, and a must own for anybody on steam just because it can really apply to anybody when you tweak it a bit, if you've just got steam (or had it for a while) this is the best place to start, plus its on sale every other week now.

Great community.

Great Game.

10/10
