It's not perfect, but it's damn good. Also, GET MODS!

MGSV has depth. Despite an unfinished story, the world building and scope of the game creates an atmosphere that is unmatched from others. There are flaws of course, but I feel like the entirety of the game makes up for its shortcomings. Kiefer Sutherland also does a fantastic job as a VA. It caught me off guard hearing Jack Bauer on the first mission.

The controls are difficult at first but become easier as you progress. The progression can be slow sometimes and rather tedious depending on what your playstyle is. The missions are somewhat repetitive but offer a multitude of methods and strategies for completing them.

Despite completing the game, I find myself coming back to explore, R&D at base, and attempt different challenges. It's great in 1-2 hour bursts where you don't have to feel committed to doing anything, it's just plain fun.

Modding: There is a lot of mods online that enhance the experience. Infinite heaven for example offers a lot of customization and random missions that can be created. It really increases the replayability. Also... Quiet mods for the degenerates out there.

Online: MGO is dead, but I have created matches and been able to get full lobbies. Make one and people will join. Additionally, online has the potential to be fun with friends. Nothing beats the feeling of clowning your buddy with a fulton and hearing them scream.

This Game is a grind, user beware!

This is my first review, so bear with me.

I've put about 600+ total hours into War Thunder (300 in steam, 300 in launcher). Back when I played, there were 20 ranks, tiers did not exist. I've played every faction, ranked up all of them in aircraft, and am currently working on Ground Forces(GF).

Over the course of time, I've probably invested 60 dollars into this game. I bought premium. With the current price of golden eagles and available vehicles and their prices,DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OTHER PREMIUM!!! Seriously you are being ripped off by Gaijin, a premium tank should not cost 50 bucks.

Gaijin is constantly modifying SL and RP gain. As it stands, RP Gain is lackluster. The whole RP system in general could use a revamp. With the current RP system in place, it takes ages to grind out a vehicle. It's bad for aircraft but even worse for tanks. It's seriously infuriating when you get 8x kills in a Tier 3 tank only to earn 800 RP. I should be earning five times that.

If you are planning on going in on this completely free(no premium, no Golden eagles, nothing) You probably won't be seeing your first jet until you've put about 250 hours in game.

However, not everything is bad! otherwise I wouldn't be giving this a positive review. War Thunder is very unique. There is no game out there that competes with it. World of Tanks is okay, World of Warplanes is okay, but War Thunder takes those two and blows it out of the park. The flight models in War Thunder are constantly being worked on. Damage models are being revised, and more content is being added at a pretty steady pace. Gaijin is able to produce quality content and it definitely shows. The controls are very fluid. Whether it be a joystick, mouse, mousejoy, or what you like, It is very easy to learn and fly. If you're a more seriously pilot you can fly in Realistic Battles or Simulator Battles. That is one thing Gaijin is good at, they give you a ton of choice in this game. It should also be noted that the engine in this game is very optimized performance wise. I was able to play this on a 4 year old PC for almost a year on high settings. The game performance is stellar.

Gaijin does scummy things from time to time. There have been censorship incidents on their forums, and many other mishaps among Gaijin and their PR. Aside from that, Gaijin has also produced a one of the kind game. And they did a damn good job with it too.

If you're feeling up for it, I would seriously try out War Thunder.
