Pretty good game.

Sonic feels slower than the boost era, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The levels you find throughout the overworld bring that classic Sonic feel.

The overworld is the worst part however. Very bland collectathon with mini games thrown in here and there. A lot of pop-in as well. The combat is also fairly basic. (although, kinda the case with all 3d sonic games)

Overall though, a sign of good things to come. I hope Sega is able to expand on what they've brought to the table without messing it up.

Also uncap the FPS. I was able to with Cheat Engine and the game looks really good on high refresh rate monitors.

100 hours in.

I never thought I'd be so committed to learning bass, but yet here I am.

Rocksmith on its own is a great experience, and on this platform isn't too expensive to get a long, worthwhile experience.

However, Rocksmith can also be a valuable tool. Whether that be learning songs or actually learning to play an instrument. It has the ability, it's just up the user to find it. I never took a lesson once while teaching myself. I now find myself wanting to learn with an instructor and maybe performing in the future.

Having been involved in music for well over a majority of my life now, picking up a new instrument is always a breathe of fresh air. When words can't do it, music can speak volumes on how a person is feeling, and I've been missing that for a long time.

If you have some old guitar that's picking up dust, and have the time to put aside to learn something new, go for it. And if you do make the delve, look into the modding community to get even more time out of Rocksmith. (Although be weary, some community made tabs can be a little funky.)

Good game with a great community. High learning curve in terms of movement, abilities, utility, and titans. Highly recommend.

After many save files between my Xbox and PC, I can finally say I've finally beaten the original Dark Souls.

Now, I initially got into Dark Souls after hearing how difficult and rewarding the game could be. And obviously the game did just that. However, the world building and atmosphere it gives along with it as well is simply amazing.

Each area presents itself with a new challenge whether it be a new mechanic or difficult enemies. This stops the game from becoming stale or slowing down in pace. Each area had an appropriate length and never overstayed its welcome.

Another thing: Dark Souls lacks music during exploration minus a few areas. While this may seem like an odd choice at first, you come to realize that it compliments the atmosphere well. It also helps to make the the boss music more memorable. My personal favorite being Smough and Ornstein's theme.

One final thing to note, the game is super open ended. This game is a RPG, don't get that wrong. However, you're never locked to a single class. That means a player could take a simple approach and build a character based around melee. But, they could also build a character based around melee with the ability to use magic as well. This allows Dark Souls to played through multiple times, with each play through feeling fresh. This also extends to the story. The plot is only fed to the player in chunks and is kept vague throughout. Things such as items and talking to NPCs help make the story more clear. But in the end, interpretation is left up to the player as to what everything means.

Overall, I can clearly see why Dark Souls is considered to be one of the greatest games of all time. Everything mentioned above plus more creates such a unique package you won't find anywhere else. This game is a definite must play for anybody.
