Helldivers is still to this day restricted in over 100 countries regardless of Sony saying they won't require PSN login.

Pilestedt has now resigned as CEO and left the company in the hands of somebody who has butchered releases of games and massively overpriced DLC

The future is not looking good.

I like the game
*BZZT BZZT*
and I'm glad that it's still being worked on
*BZZT BZZT*
but man I wish there was more verbal dialog
*BZZT BZZT*
and less buzzing from the phone
*BZZT BZZT*

Jokes aside, I bought this game roughly around when it came out almost 10 years ago. It's great to see that it's improved so much in the last decade. The realistic deaths with the zombies and humans is really fun. The zombie AI is also pretty good for a HL2 mod.

With that said, the game still feels way underdeveloped. The maps are all procedurally generated as well as the key items, which is great in concept but in practice it falls behind.

I've had to reload entire campaigns because of issues with key items not spawning, or being hidden under unreachable areas if you drop them. Your inventory is limited to 4 items per character, and sometimes you have 3-4 key items that you need to carry to move forward. Bolt cutters, Fuses, Keys, etc. If you're playing single player this is a hassle, and it makes you spend more time back-tracking back and forth in order to move forward into the next area. There's no way to tell which key items you'll need later on, and if you do drop them, there's a chance they'll just straight up despawn and you'll be stuck. If there was a separate inventory for key items, this would make the issue way less of an issue.

Sprinting in this game is just a slightly faster walk, which makes backtracking more of a pain on top of what I mentioned above.

But the main issue I have with this is the constant buzzing from the phone, giving you text after text after text in every room you go into, every locked door you need an item for, every key item you find, it gets really annoying, really fast.

I think more dialog, or maybe even just less texts would benefit this game the most.

Also please nerf the health of riot zombies. I have to dump at least a mag and a half just to take a helmet off sometimes.

Game is at least a 6/10, would be a solid 8 without all of the general annoyances.

For starters, Halo Reach is the only title at the moment that's available, but the current road map predicts that they're all going to be available by the end of this year, so take buying the entirety of MCC as a season pass that will let you play and own the others as they're released.

As I write this, they're already test flighting Halo CE, and it shouldn't be too much longer before it's released

Now, on to Reach:

It's Halo Reach for pc, there's not much more that you can be said about it.

Some of the same bugs are there, if you plan on playing CO-OP campaign with a friend you both better have top speed internet and separate computers, because there is no split-screen, and the latency issues are still there. They've confirmed that they aren't planning on fixing and rewriting the net code at any point as stated in one of their more recent dev blogs, so that'll probably never change. Which is disappointing

The main difference is that the armor progression is based off of XP and not credits now, and it's a more linear unlock system based off of tokens that you earn from leveling up instead of the unlock requirements from the past like rank and credit costs

Unfortunately the multiplayer is filled with controller tryhards that have an unfair advantage due to high aim assist, so playing online to earn XP for levels is only viable in Firefight, and there is no campaign or offline experience to earn any until sometime in the future, again, stated in a more recent dev blog. There are a few minor issues here and there with audio bugs and hit detections on AI, but it's never game breaking.

I definitely look at buying the current MCC product as an investment, because Halo Reach plays just fine, and I have high hopes for the rest of the titles as they release. 40 dollars for Halo Reach, 1, 2, 3, ODST and 4 is a damn good bargain if you ask me, but the main thing is you have to be patient for them.

Halo Reach has always been a treasure, but it has it's rough spots, like most anything else.

I could never not recommend this game

I have over 200 hours on this game, I played in what seemed to be the end of the golden age for Trove, back when you could buy new classes with the in-game progressively farmable currency called Cubits-before the Lunar Lancer came out

I quit a little before the release of the new class, hoping to be able to come back to when the game was built better and was given a bit more attention than what was in it at the time, i had maxed out my character and portals, and even started making weapons for the Trove Creations forum back when it was updated semi-frequently[now they haven't given it attention since 2015, even though there's supposedly mods in the forums still checking peoples' creations. The Reddit page says "Request priorities last updated: 12/18/15 ; Request priorities next update: 2/19/16]

However when I came back, ALL classes are required real-money bought currency called Credits, and the only way to get them as far as I can see is buying them, or farming 1000 hours to work the community driven market and buy a class coin from someone else.

This is such a disappointment to me, since the only reason I played was for the new classes, and I was feverishly waiting for the awesome class Lunar Lancer, and i even designed some weapons in MagicaVoxel[which were, unsurprisingly to me now, ignored/denied because the class wasn't out yet] only to find out that Trion thought that making classes pay-to-play, was their main souce of income[they even said it themselves in the update patch] and so they decided to jump on the "♥♥♥♥ our fans, we want money because we decide to make small little weekly patches that we call major updates even though we don't actually have to" kart,

This game had so much potential, now I can't even go back myself to enjoy what I loved when I played originally.

I couldn't even begin where to start on recommending this when the biggest negative is the fact that it's pay-to-play.

Seems poorly optimized.

I have every setting on low, and even still my game runs at like 10fps max

Didn't have an issue running Orion Prelude on medium settings,
I just don't get what's up with this one.

I can't rate it up, because I can't even play it.

Every time I get into a game my ping is always in the yellow or red, and this is the only game that does this.

I've never had rubberband issues with a game quite like this. Fix your servers

I started playing this game for like 5 minutes and quit. A whole community based around keys, hats, and gambling?

No thanks!

Terraria, oh the time I've spent on this one.

I was absolutely addicted to this game and moderated a bunch of different servers, it was a lot of fun if you're into the construction/hours of building and deconstructing

What really brought this game to life for me was the source farming, ore, ores, some wood and more ores to craft better pickaxes, weapons, various tools, etc. Survival with a twist.
There's all different kinds of armors and weapons that'll keep you interested for a while, hundreds to choose from.

There's all different kinds of things to explore in each world, over and under the ground, and when you've used up that world and got tired of it, you can just take everything you own and make a brand new world full of more things not on the last. Each world is randomly generated and different almost every single time.

There's also bosses and random events that happen to your land[INCLUDING METEORS, OH GOD] that'll have you on your defenses and sometimes reward you with something that'll help you along your way to getting better gear or certain special items.

It's basically a 2-D Minecraft in perspective, but they are nothing alike once you get into it.

I absolutely recommend if you're into the survival genre; mining for ores and staying in for the night to not die.

The only problem I have with it is it's very time consuming, but that could be a good thing to others.
I'm personally not too big of a fan of that but if you can get past it--this game is an absolutely wonderful experience that will keep you occupied for hours or even days.

So yeah, that's my review of this game that used up 900+ hours of my life.

Time well spent :'D
