the only way to get most of the competitive decks is paying and if you don't, well get your ass ready to play this on every single moment of the day, well.. "play" you will just use auto-duel to farm each character's gems and that's it.
don't waste your time.

Gameplay it's expected from a classic Sonic game, fast speeds, great level design again. Way better than Sonic 1 and a bunch of steps back from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Sonic this time has the spindash, a pretty useful ability that can help you to get in higher grounds if used correctly. I love the difficulty of this game, starts easy, and gets more harder and difficult in terms of levels. Be careful, maybe you'll find a level that was made by Satan himself *cof* Metropolis *cof* and some really hard bosses if this is your first time *cof* Death Egg Robot *cof*.
The soundtrack is wonderful, the iconic song from Chemical Plant, the beautiful song from Hill Top, Wing Fortress majestry, the epicness of Death Egg Robot and the ending song.
A beutiful game, worth the price and the hours played. Again, such a shame that it's not the android version, Special stages will give you a really frustrating and hard time, and some colission boxes will be pissing you now and then. BUT it doesn't make this game worse, you can play without even bother about them.
Totally recomended! Almost a masterpiece!

Let's see, this game is one of the best Sonic games ever, maybe is the fact that I couldn't play the new games because of my potato PC (Like Generations), or because I really missed 2D Sonic. But anything of that aside, I felt and i feel really happy playing with the old physics, updated graphics, recycled and completely new ideas. I can not describe how much fun i have with this game, it's almost perfect, a bit short for experienced players, not THAT easy, but regular difficulty, excelent for starters on the franchise in my opinion.

Gameplay is almost exactly the same than the old days, rolling around at the speed of sound, got places to go, GOTTA FOLLOW MY RAI- I mean, exploring, abusing the dropdash to get really fast to the goal, looking for giant rings, trying to complete special stages with an absolute good concept, reaching faster ways to complete every level, enjoying easter eggs and references... needless to say, it's just a masterpiece. My only complain is that are not allowed to chose which Sonic Ability i would rather use, but i think that is because the developers wanted us to get use to the new one, we are already familiarized with Insta-shield and Super peel-out.

Level design is gorgeous, going up, and down, and up and down, and staying in the center are completely different stories, it makes the re-playability a great deal. Along with it's soundtrack, this game makes you want to wish for a sequel. Tee Lopes made a great job adapting every track, accomplishing what the old composers did back in the old days.
Not to mention the smoothness and amazing sprite quality, looks like if you were watching a cartoon or something.
Personally I love Angel Island and Oil Ocean Act 2 theme and Press Garden 2 as a level.
I just can speak for myself, since the nostalgia this game creates was so big that i was playing every sonic in my disposition since it was announced. Worth the wait, worth the buy, worth every single penny.
Hopefully we can get a sequel or at least a workshop option, there are a lot of modders doing a very good job with this game too.

One of the best Sonic games in my opinion, there are obvious reasons why this one is not the best, but it could have been in it's time.

Gameplay it's smooth, you can go really fast with Sonic, run over the walls, jump extremely high, take out enemies quite fast. The problem it's that the camera sometimes gets messy and confuses you, lucky us that there is a "Free camera" option (Still bad). Emerald Coast, Speed Highway, Final Egg and Ice Cap are great levels for him.
Tails gameplay feels unique compared to Sonic, and makes you want to reach the goal as fast as you can having track of Sonic. I have no complains about this character to be fair.
Knuckles, he also is great, not my favourite gameplay style, but it's good, i can play this gamemode without problem.
Amy is one of the most annoying, she is really slow compared to the 3 mains, her attacks are even slower, when you reach max speed, you can enjoy a bit more her gameplay, but it's not enough. I love watching Zero get confused or angry as he chases you, i have to admit that part of the levels is more than funny.
Gamma, I think he is okay.. I mean, I like his gameplay, and the part of having obligatory bosses at the end of each stage but, I don't know, it lacks of something.
Big... <--- let's just ignore him, it's easy if you know how to position yourself and how to use the controls.

The plot is simple, evil dude wants to destroy a city, tries summoning a monster, monster is monster and everyone is dead.
Big, Amy and Gamma stories are kinda... forced? but they are there. I mean, without those 3 characters everything could have been the same.

The soundtrack is just beautiful, i played this game as a child, and now i'm an "adult" i just can't hold my childish singing of every single song. From Emerald Coast, to Open your heart (IT'S GONNA BE ALRIIIIIIIGHT).

Bosses are easy if you know how to take care of them, if it's your first time, good luck, you may have some problems with 1 or 2 (Egg Viper for example).

Purchase this if you really want to experience a unique gameplay that no other Sonic has (besides Sonic Adventure 2) can offer. I mean, yeah there are some elements that the new games already have (Like BOUNCE PADS), but, this one is unique, however this is one of my favourite games so... I'm being pretty subjetive.

I had a good time, received this from Sega as it's Sonic Mania delay apology.

-It's a good game, it's not the best, it's far too easy for experienced players, i mean, i took me a few hours max to finish this with all the 6 Chaos Emeralds.

-The soundtrack still one of my favourites, being Marble Zone, Labyrinth, Scrap Brain and Final Zone the ones that i enjoy the most.

-Gameplay it's okay, you can do things the fast way or the "i'm afraid to lose a life so i will run slowly".
Level desing is amazing for the time when this was released.

-My only complain is that this is not the Re-master that android has, and it's really a shame, but it's okay.

-I experienced some fps drops, maybe it's because of my pc, maybe because of the emulator, but i don't know, mostly it happens when i get hit underwater and the rings are spilled all over the place.

Thanks Sega, not for the delay, but for at least giving us something to kill time.
It's not something WOAH woah Woah WOAH WOAH, but.. it's something, other companies do not give a ♥♥♥♥ about how the people that pre-order feel about a delay.
I really not appove this, because I got spoiled already, and it could be better a delay in all plataforms, not just PC, but, okay, it's your business, not mine, you know your deal. Anyways, hope next time give us, something related to the game itself, like it's soundtrack, a demo, a special feature and not an old 2 dollar game.

I really wanted to replay this game, i completed it when i was a child, at first in Sonic & Knuckles, in my Sega Genesis, then in my old Pentium 4, with Sonic Mega Collection +, then the same, but in PS2, and at last here in Steam, i love the graphics, the gameplay, the design, the soundtrack, some bosses are kinda lazy, but most of them are fine, Sandopolis Act 2, it's one of my favourite levels from all videogames, even until today.
I had some problems with edges while going at high speed, sometimes i didn't do anything out of normal and i get killed by edges now and then, specially while Sonic it's at Hyper form, but overall, i think it's one of the best, if not the best Sonic game.

The normal launcher lags the s- hit out of my pc, i don't have a great one, it's outdated.
I tried the simple launcher and went more than smooth, it's simple and easy to use, but for newcomers it's like "why the f- uck this thing lags and how do i fix this!?" i was more than frustrated but, well, here we are, it's nice, and full of nostalgia, i like the "lobby" of the normal launcher, recommended if you are planning on buying a bunch of classics

I tried to give the poor man a good ending but it wasn't enough, it's never enough, i wanted to kill myself after this game.
I introduced a banana right inside my butt hole and then i tried to cut my veins with a spoon.
