An underrated cyberpunk gem in the FPS genre, Hard Reset is way more concerned with its gunplay and atmosphere than it is with telling a story. Dash around a rainy neon lit city shooting robots, switching between fire-modes for your two modular weapons. It feels like a proto-Doom Eternal in how much it relies on you using your arsenal and movement contextually. My only gripe really is that it feels way too short. Even with its free Exile expansion it clocks in at over 5 hours. I would love to see a follow-up from FWH.

pretty fun time waster

while it def doesn't *play* well, just experiencing it is something else. pixelization, shaky cam, deliberately janky cuts in cutscenes, audio levels that would make merzbow blush, etc, turn it into the liveleak video of games. a true assault on the senses. we'll never get anything like this again. in a way its lack of polish compared to max payne 3 which does pretty much some of the same things really enhances its vibe.

Holy sh!t. Some of the most refined shooting mechanics in gaming, period. While def not as strong as the first two I still loved the story. That airport fight with Tears by HEALTH in the background is honestly in my top 10 list of video game moments.

multiplayer fps perfection

Blows Doom 2016 out of the water in every aspect. It's like if PlatinumGames made an FPS.

Playing this in VR is an experience
