A really fun, innovative party game. Love local-multiplayer games, and this one was great and pulls of its concept of having to blend in among NPCs or trying to find your friend doing the same thing really well.

I have to say I was disappointed with the main quest of this expansion. The pacing was horrendous, with the majority of the story investigating a mystery that doesn't even get properly resolved in this chapter. The missions felt like they were just stringing the player along. Weird "fetch" objectives where you go interact with three random things for no reason, just to progress, were oddly common in the quests as well.

The main villains were very underdeveloped, with Peryite getting a grand total of 2(!) lines in the entire story. The "grand" twist at the end was delivered in a weird way, and is actually sort of lame when you think about it (Trying not to spoil anything). Furthermore, the great, big, grand twist only has like 2 lines of explanation before the game tells you to basically come back next year for the rest of the story. Yes, the expansion ends in a cliffhanger, and while they got rid of the "year long story" aspect, the expansion ends literally the same way as the year long story ones: A cliffhanger, and a half-hearted party about how cool the player is for saving the day, with NPCs basically saying "Oh yeah just wander around until the next expansion, we'll let you know when the world ends again".

I think ESO stories are known for having annoying NPCs at this point, but this expansion's was extra grating. There's a "Watchling" who speaks in the most grating, bored teenager voice that I genuinely do not understand why she was voiced that way. There's a young Dark Elf who's entire personality is that he has a Twitch streamer haircut and has a crush on Leramil. And Leramil, the main NPC of the expansion, while being relatively inoffensive, also seemed weird to me. She pulls out increasingly powerful and absurd spells, and I thought the story would eventually reveal something about how she can just bend reality however she wants, but it never goes anywhere. I guess she is just casually that powerful? Who knows. The last NPC, a ghost of a Telvanni, had a humorous intro, and I thought he would be interesting. But they never follow up on his portrayal in his intro, and he becomes a fairly boring yet tolerable character.

All in all, this expansion was greatly disappointing for me, especially since I hoped scrapping the "year long story" thing would make for a fresher, better story experience. It is possible that ZoS might have changed focus from year long stories into this multi-year long story approach during mid-development, and that's why the pacing and such might have been affected. But either way, I personally cannot recommend Necrom if you're buying these expansions for their main quests.

Improves on CK2 with new features such as great 3D models, a stress system that incentivizes roleplaying, and dynamic religion creation.

Speaking storywise, it's very lackluster compared to expansions such as Summerset and Elsweyr. The last two expansions were great, so I'm not sure why the story of Greymoor is this dull and uninteresting.

Great solo playability, awesome stories. Would recommend if you're looking for an RPG with plenty of choices.

The game sucks you into being curious for the first 2 hours, then it becomes too late to realize that theres no content in the game.

At all.

Biggest scam Ive ever seen.

Still fun after all these years, and *still* getting new content.
