This game deserves more attention, more people NEED to be made aware of this great game!

I can't even remember how I discovered this game, I think I saw mentioned it in some article about roguelike games or deckbuilding games when I was looking for some more to play. The fact that it was multiplayer co-op caught my attention, so I checked it out on steam, and at the time it was on sale, (celebrating the 1.0 release from memory I think?) so I decided to pick it up. It sat in my steam library for a bit, until one day I felt like playing another roguelike and saw it in my library, and decided I might as well load it up and have a go...
As soon as I began playing I realised what an inspired idea this game is, and fell in love with it. As soon as I died, rather than starting another run, I went to the store page a bought some gift copies for my friends so that we could play it together. We've been playing it every available evening since then. So far I've bought 3 copies of this game, (one of those on sale) and I don't think I'm going to be stopping there - I've been telling more and more friends about it, and probably will continue to gift it, as it's such a fun thing to play together.

I hope this team behind this game continues to update it, and I wish them all the best in their future endeavours - this game really shows me they have serious talent for game design!

Early Access Review
I liked AdVenture Capitalist, so when I saw this on steam, I thought I had to buy it, and at first I loved it... but the game is unfinished and the developers seem to have abandoned steam. I just wish I knew this before I started playing it, and then I would have gotten it on mobile or something, but once I had started it on steam, I had to finish it on steam, and now I have. I've completed everything there is to do in the steam version of this game, and there is just nothing. No achievments or anything, and the last... half? of the gameplay is such a dull grind. DO NOT PLAY ON STEAM. If you are interested, find it somewhere else where the developers still support it. Don't make my mistake.

This game is Amazing. I can't pinpoint why, but I keep coming back, and sitting here for hours maximiaing my Profits.

I'd highly reccomend this to anyone who really gets a great sense of achievment.

I wasn't a fan of the moon at first, but once they tweaked it, and I had a whole bunch of investors there, it got much better. Still my least favorite planet tho. Mars on the other hand is AMAZING! I love this planet, I can't stop playing there. It was fun at the start, with no inverstors, I loved the progression on it, and now I have so so many investors and it is still amazing

This game is amazing - a 'must play' for all fantasy RPG fans.

You can use first or third person veiwpoints, depending on your preference, and the combat is very well programmed, and is quite fun to play.
It is a very open world, where you can go around and do what you want, but it does provide enough direction so you don't run out of things to do. It also doesn't use 'classes' or such to limit what things your character can do. You can, if you want, try your hand at all the skills as the same character, though it does mean youll take a long time to be good at any particular one, or you can specialise in a few, and try others with another character (and the openness of the game means your second character can take completely different quests to your first, allowing for a new game experience).
Also, with so many skills, each character can have a unique feel, and style of combat and play, or (i'll talk about this more later) you can switch the style of the character you are already playing to get that new experince.

There is so much to do in the game, and much fun to be had, and there is DLC, each one adds more content, and each is worth the price, though it is not neccessary to have DLC to enjoy the game, the core game is great, the DLC just adds more if (somehow) you feel like you are running out of things to do.

The game also looks quite nice, and has deep storylines. I'd reccomend playing a stealthy character at least once and heading to Riften, as the thieves guild quest line has one of my favorite story arcs.
Another particular skill I find quite enjoyable is enchanting. The mechanics of enchanting in skyrim are quite simple, but I always enjoy doing enchnating with my characters. There is just something so satisfying in customising your gear.

The combat difficulty can be turned up or down at any time in the game, meaning if you just want the feel of a fantasy adventure, without worrying about dying too much you can turn it down, or if you are using a fun but more or less ineffective skill build, but if your character turns out to be powerful, or you want more of a challenge, you can easily turn it up again.
It also means you can easily (combined with the absence of 'class' restrictions I mentioned above) change your character's combat style completely later in the game, start using a skill you have not leveled at all, and alter the difficulty to make it possible while you slowly gain experience.

The console in the PC version can also be quite helpful for little tweaks like allowing certain NPCs to be options for marriage or follower companions, and for 'fixing' anything that goes wrong due to a bug here and there.

Also there are many mods etc available (and can everyone please stop complaining about paid mods?! Mods can still be free, but giving the modders the option to charge for it means they can put more time and effort into making even better mods) to further enhance your experince.

In closing, there is only one real downside I see to this game, something I wish was changed:
I would play this game 4x as much if I could recruit one of my steam friends as my companion follower, instead of only being able to use NPCs. (If someone makes a mod that does that really well, I'd be MORE than happy to pay for it!!)

I loved this game. It was great fun, especially with friends.
Then they broke multuiplayer.
The game still works and is fun, but unless you have amazing connection, online multiplayer is pretty unplayable.
And for me, playing with friends is what I wanted, not a single player experience.

If you have read my reveiw on Portal 1, I have much the same to say here, with a couple of extra bonus points.
It is a great game, with a good genre which should appeal to almost anyone. Fun puzzles, which are not too hard, but not too easy.
This game, the second in the series really tops the first in terms of storyline and humor tho, the first was great, but this goes the next step into hilarity and awsomeness.
Also yes, the graphics are better. It looks real nice.
Jump in, and have some fun :)

Oh, and there is another ending song, just as good as the one in the prequel

This, IMO is the best MOBA created. There may not be many heroes/demigods, but unlike most popular MOBAs, each of those demigods has a skill tree which you can use to build your character in a completely different style each game. Plus, in addition to an item shop yuo can spend your gold on upgrades for your whole team.
There are fun different modes and maps, and overall a great experience.

The only downside is the online multiplayer is peer-to-peer, which can have some lag issues if you don't have a great connection, and not enough people play it - but that is a problem we can fix by giving it a go!

I only bought this game today, and have played it less than an hour, but I AM LOVING IT! I can hardly keep myself away. It is a great nod to the roots of gaming, and very interesting portrail of the develpment, but on top of all that it is very fun to play. I'd reccomend this to any gamer, especially those who have their own roots in what are now 'retro' or 'classic' games.

It has a great mix of Styles and Genres, and if there are elements or aspects you don't like, keep playing and most likely they will change as you progress.

Edit: Now I'm a few hours in, loving it even more than before. The story line has really developed a lot more at this stage of the game, and this is a MUST PLAY for any Final Fantasy fans (lots of refrences)

Edit 2: Finished the game, it is only short, but it was amazing. I still havn't 100% it yet, and I plan to. Then possible replay it... So I most definatly reccomend you giving this game a shot

Hilarious, Ridiculous fun. A very different game to anything you have played before. Addictivly epic. Oh, and Hats.

Edit: years later, I am still playing, and looking fancier than ever before. TY valve, I love this game

A really great game, fun and a little challenging, and the type of game anyone would like. It has the unique style that suits pretty much everyone. It may not be one of your favorite games, (though it is one of mine), but i guarantee you won't hate it, and will still have plenty of fun.
