60 lvl's seems excessive. after about 40 i was dragging. you can "occasionally" find these little "glowy orbs" that you can use to buy 2 other skins. dont bother getting all of them because i discovered that after you buy the skins you end up with 5 left over. no footprints either. music is nice. no reward at the end, you do get an "achivment" after Every Single Level. then you get an achiv for getting all the skins. thats it. also seems meh to have to buy x5 games at 99cents each. why not make chapters? why not a timed option? why not an element of danger towards the end lvl's? nice relaxing game (to a point) but becomes a headache later. do less levels, add some mods, add a timed mode, make an ending of some kind (even if it's just a picture) just something.

2024 update:
WOW Valve really? there's so much DDOS attacks on this game now... it's literally unplayable even if playing solo. plus i noticed the bg mapping and images are getting corrupted. example, i was playing Dark Carnival, some of the trees were blocks of pink mess. and the lag is terrible. then i started to notice it on other levels. I 1000% agree with everyone on here - THE COMMUNITY IS MEGA TOXIC. Vicious people! Never in my life of gaming in over 30yrs have I seen nor seen since the toxicity of people in a community for a VIDEO GAME. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME UNLESS UR PLAYING SOLO OR WITH FRIENDS. DO NOT PLAY UNTIL THE DDOS ATTACKS ARE OVER. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY. PERIOD.
VALVE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND FIX THIS.

Super fun game. Sometimes it is hard to play on local servers as it kicks players out or just crashes. but otherwise fun. I also love the mods! Turning off the character's voices saves my ears from bleeding from the cursing. Turning the zombies and special infected into robot while giving them new voices and blue blood makes it easier to play (because I dont like blood and gore anymore). Ease of play and controls are good. And not to mention the maps are excellent :D

Pros: can be modified for less blood and guts. Characters can be muted. Smooth controls and gameplay. good graphics. good maps. replay value is amazing. tons of mods.

Cons: crashes when local server is selected (and i play right next to the other player lol.) and kicks players. player community is bad, real bad. I have met some of the worst people on L4D2. So i always play either solo or with a close friend. DOnt play with random groups. they're hostile. like they actually think they're in ww2 or something. such rudeness smh.

controls are awful. voice acting cringeeeee... sad, it looked like a good game too. but unplayable. could not get anyone to do anything. nothing worked. buggy? requesting refund.

I wish there was a "neutral" option when rating something on Steam.
While i really like this game, i don't like the bugs! I've had to reinstall it many times since I've owned it. due to certain things need moved to different steam folders etc,. annoying.

Pros: funny character design, voices/sounds are good, smooth game play, nice music, really really fun mini games, excellent replay value and achievements.

Cons: lots of bugs and reinstalling. sometimes doesn't want to start and i have to restart Steam or computer (only with this game), and some of the challenges are literally unbeatable/unreasonable, and I've tried for years. Finally gave up. :P

Overall, if you can get by the bugs, it's a fun game.

this is one of the best games I've played on Steam. stories are neat, music is pretty, graphics is pure nostalgia mixed with modern, character design and development is pretty spiffy, battle system is your typical final fantasy turn-based system, interactions and items well done, voices not bad at all, and already addicting game play. I give this 5/5. really enjoying this game.

Sadly, this game looked cool but it isn't. Too buggy, laggy, stuttery, couldnt progress any further because the item i was supposed to interact with WOULD NOT. restarted level. no good. i was looking for another game like Dear Esther , which in a sense it was. just too darn buggy,. i am green from playing it. other 1st person games dont do that. i got a refund from steam. waste of time and $.

Fun and challenging (especially when it speeds up!). Decent music. Graphics are okay too. It's Pac-man, what can i say.? The challenges are annoying sometimes. Can be a pain unlocking the levels. Otherwise a fun render of a classic. Honestly, I find it better to play with a keyboard rather than controller. That's just meh tho.

First off, I am very gratful this was on Steam. As i do not have an Xbox 360 nor is my PS4 hooked up to internet access. Just wish there was a PS4 disc rather than digital. But this is the next best thing. Otherwise I would not have been able to play at all.

I don't know what people complain about. I think this game is quite fun.
Story is "different" and hard to follow (but I have only played about 3hrs so far). The game controls and battle system are ok. Fairly easy. Very casual RPG with LOTS of cut scenes. It's like participating within a movie rather than a typical video game. Frame rate seems ok so far. No lags. There is a present 'studder/shudder' in some of the movie cut scenes but that may be due to that I have everything set of high quality. The voice acting is a bit cringey. But you get used to it. The character development is very well done so far and makes me all the more curious to learn more about them. Battles can be boring at times. The quests are fun too. I like the music too. I use am xbox 360 controller. But you can use keyboard and mouse just the same. Thats a plus. I like the option if my controller ever needed replaced, I would not be up a creek.

Pros: good graphics, decent voices, interesting story, no lagging or crashing (i use windows 8.1), ease of play, relaxing, story rich (at least i think so), and nice fantasy ambiance with cool character/scenery design).
Cons: slight shudder/studder with frame rate (i have mine high quality on everything), i think they go overboard with the english accents in this game, battle can use more interaction, recruitment is odd and party arrangements is weird and confusing, and needs more treasure chests (i mean thats part of the fun is finding loose change/items).

I really enjoy this game and i wish Steam still had it available for people to enjoy.

First off, There are SPOLIERS in this review. ok, i already own Dear Esther but i ended up getting this one free it seems as i dont recall buying the landmark edition. Nice. :)

Pros:
- same rich story line.
- achievements added.
- beautiful soothing music.
- easy to play, especially when you're wanting to relax.
- director commentary added.
- smooth graphics.
- excellent details in said graphics with 0 lag.
- no bugs (so far) and i have played many times.
- voice acting is good.
SPOILER?
- ghosts? i may be crazy (since i havent played the original since i got this one in ages i dont recall "spirits" in this game. creepy)
- and this can also be considered a con, it depends on the person and what they are looking for in a game, i beat it in 2hrs. So long or short games are a matter of taste. I personally like this one short. (but a longer version would be even better)

Cons:
- It's VERY SLOW PACED. (it isnt really a con unless you're in a hurry to beat the game before going out etc) I mean it IS a walking simulator game after all. :P However, i think a "run" option would be nice too for the occasional quick-play. Such as on the main menu have a "quick play mode" that has no talking and running is added. idk about you but i think that would be fun.
- I wish something in this game was interactive. Like picking up objects of interest and interacting with the "ghosts?"
- maybe add a "survival mode" to the game so you have to deal with each "ghost" to maybe overcome your past and maybe NOT (SPOILER ALERT) commit suicide in the end... or avoid the ghosts like in Kholat (which is another fave game, and trust me i wish Kholat had a PEACEFUL MODE hahaha).
- Multiple endings might have made replay more interesting. just saying. (not that i dont enjoy playing this over and over)
- PLEASE ADD A SILENT MODE! when i play this game over and over (as i do a lot, sorry it's a fave of mine) it would be nice to play without captain drama blabbing in my ear the whole time and ruining the lovely atmosphere. XD

these cons are not serious as they are more suggestions. I would love to see more games like this made.

i'm not sure whether i recommend this game or not. too bad Steam doesnt have another option to select. :P
So I guess i'll weigh the pros and cons.

Pros:
- Graphics are ok. Smoothe, not much lag during gameplay.
- Atsmosphere. Very creepy. Well done.
- Game mechanics. Easy.
- Finding eggs in every chapter can be fun...sometimes... IF you miss ONE u dont get the good ending. there are 22. you do the match how many is in each chapter lol


Cons:
- No difficulty selection. It's basically Easy for the 1st chapter, then the rest is HARD! Not very balanced. lol A dificulity mode would make this game better for beginners.
- sometimes interaction can be buggy, delaying you, thus causing you to get caught by Mama like nuts... *shudder*
- Lag between chapters.
- Lighting is awful. if you make it the way perscribed its too dark to see at all, even in lit areas. When you make it brighter, anywhere and anything that is lighter already is blinding. Adjustment needed.
- THE DAMN VOICES!!! lol BRUSH ME! GIVE ME A TREAT! MAMAS COMING....etc STFU TATTLETAIL! XP while nessesary, it can be extremely distarcting..
- Frustrating as it sends you back to the beginning of the chapter everytime you die. No CheckPoints except per chapter.
- !!! SPOILER !!! when you get all the eggs you get a special item in the end.....another damn flashlight...are you kigging me...?
- you cannot pause the game or you will be sent back to the menu. (probably better to use a gamepad instead of keyboard idk)
- Short. Very short game. but i guess thats the point. Thankfully I only paid 5.00 for this game.

yeah.... its not that great. but has potenital. If it was an easy game i guess it wouldnt be fun for some people. But at least have a difficulty selection... 3/10
It's more fun to watch Jacksepticeye or Markiplier play it.
