Missing a lot of shota and loli characters that were in manga and anime. Not cute and funny/10

This is not a remake, it's a demake. The original beach scene has been removed and The Kendo, Swim Team, Music and Photography Club Social Link variants have been removed. I'm not surprised if there's something else missing too, that's pretty much every "remake" and "remaster" these days.

It's crazy that they are making people pay for this 70€, premium edition going up to 100€ and all DLC combined is almost 30€ while still having missing content in them. People can keep calling it the definitive version or whatever but this like with many other "definitive" games we get these days are anything but definitive versions.

Censorship isn't designed to protect anyone, it's designed to combat freedom of speech/expression. Censorship has always been bad and always will be. There's no reason to defend it. Period.

Like some other people have already said, the game is pretty good and looks great. The problem is with the game's awful pricing and locking new game plus behind a paywall. It's insane and even more insane is the fact there are people defending it.

It's also hard to support this because of awful localization and SEGA defending it. I guess i shouldn't be surprised by it though. From removing an episode of Petit Sekai to butchering the Western release of Phantasy Star Online 2, SEGA has been a woke infested Japanese company for years so I can't say I'm surprised that they've created a customer "harassment" policy to defend censorious localizers and them going "that's a nice franchise you've got there. Would be a shame if I found something "Problematic" with it." every single time. Criticism is not harassment.

I don’t care if it’s a tiny insignificant part of the game, the idea of people changing things that make them uncomfortable or because they think that their own version is "better" than the original is not a standard we should be embracing. People support Japanese stuff as Japanese stuff. People support Italian food as Italian food. People support Led Zeppelin as Led Zeppelin. Easy as that. Turning something and someone into what they are not like is censorship and it's just begging to go bankrupt.

You cannot be accurate to source material if you cut out or change everything you feel is "wrong". These things do not align. You're making your own politically correct version of the context that is closer to your culture than Japanese. Even if there are sexist jokes, it's not their job to "protect" fans from them, it's not their job to remove or change them, it's their job to translate, that's it, period.

I don't want Japanese media that's been Americanized with politics and slang. I want Japanese media that is translated as accurately as possible and character designs to stay as they were. I fell in love with Japanese games because of the culture and designs, not because they had western viewpoints injected into them.

I love how these are the same people (localizers) who yell "Culture appropriation! It's important!" then go into Japanese media and do this.

Also, those who come up with those same old questions and arguments about why do anti-censorship people care so much about such "small" and "inconsequential" changes need to direct them to the localizers instead, not us. They themselves decided that it was so "inconsequential" that it had be changed. Real fans had no problem with it.

Hope those ESG points were worth it.

2/10 not enough thicc lolis like the ones from Chainsaw Man or Jujutsu Kaisen. Apparently there's some kind of support for buttplug but i don't really see the point of it unless you have a fetish for gore and violence.

So far been very enjoyable game. Both Ashley and Andrew have been very fun to follow and the story is interesting. While i also do like Ashley with her being cute and funny, i do find Andrew a bit more enjoyable, he reminds me of Denji from Chainsaw Man manga with both being into pretty messed up things but in a good and fun way, like Denji sucking some tentacles in one scene to please a girl, it was epic.

Like usually, this game also got some attention because of zoomers were surprised by a messed up horror game having messed up content in it, like they did with Fear and Hunger a couple weeks ago. It's honestly how i found out about this game in the first place which is pretty funny, have to thank them for that. Them crying about "problematic" things might be annoying but without it we probably wouldn't be finding these gems as easily.

It also seems like game dev has been very based with them telling zoomers crying about this game to get out which honestly just made me wan't to buy this game even more just to support them. We need more devs like this who actually stand up and don't care about what people say and we need more games with "uncomfortable" and messed up themes and taboos. It's fiction in the end, who cares?

I'm very excited for more content from this dev.

Edit: Yup, It's GOTY.

I have no idea why you would censor a game and remove content just like that after all these years, especially when fans of the game literally made it happen with their own money through a kickstarter. It doesn't seem fair nor even legal. Also worrying amount of people supporting censorship just to own "coomers".

The whole "it was just a small thing that was censored, why do you care" is also a pretty bad argument. If they were such small things, why go all the way to censor them in the first place? To me, going all this trouble to censor a ten year old game sounds like a lot of caring.

Some people are also throwing around how they just removed all the "illegal" content, muh fictional "minors" and all that. You're telling me that they had illegal content here all these years and no one cared or said anything until now?

Then there are those who say that if you don't have a certain amount of hours in the game, you were never a fan of this game and how you don't care about it. I think you should also be say that your'e against the censorship of a video game or any other fictional media even if you aren't a fan of it.

There needs to be more resistance towards censorship no matter how small it is and it needs to be called out any possible way. If people stop having freedom in their imagination and in their fictional media, the world will be a very bland place. The story nor the characters aren't even real, so who cares if it doesn't fit your moral? Censorship is always a slippery slope and it will come for the content you like sooner or later if you don't stop it.
