I installed the game and it worked until I got to Megaton, where it kept crashing. But this is the solution:

Install unofficial patch and disable GFWL = Game works as intended.

I dont understand why so many cries about it, its so easy to get to work. I agree that Steam/Bethesda should have it optimized from the start, but come on, all should be able to get it to work, its so damn easy.

And for the game: I've played a lot of Skyrim, but I have never really played the Fallout Series. When I saw it on the Steam sale, I decided to buy it. Its a really awesome game, I love it so much so far. The gameplay, the humour, and the awesome stories behind the quests are amazing. I would definately recommmend this game to everyone that likes adventure.

What a save!

I just bought this because of the 24 hour sale. I've always heard it had problems on PC, but for 6,79 euros I couldn't resist. The problems with lag was huge though (especially in open areas). I found the solution in the thread "Solution for Sloppy Framerate!", so my problems with lag are pretty much gone now... And I'm beginning to love this game! It has always been a game I wanted to try out, especially because I like investigation games and everyone loved it on the consoles.

I've finished the tutorial, 2 main investigations and some the of side (street) crimes. The game has great atmosphere, I love the time period (takes place in 1947), the interrogations with witnesses/criminals are very exciting, and the chases after the criminals are very fun too. And the facial expressions are just... Wow! So beautiful. I would recommend this game, no doubt!
