At my current stage, I've finished Path of the Jaguar and have the Long Exploration of Path of the Serpent Remaining and this is what I think of it so far:

The game is hard. No doubt about it but I feel that is what the developers of the game are going for. There is nothing that makes you go "thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!" (There is no Dark Souls masochism here) and every mistake that you make, every point of damage you take can be avoided if you are careful. The game doesn't say it directly but it requires you to calculate how you approach he room and the mobs in them. Button mashing isn't going to help you much here. You need to carefully manage your stamina, know your enemies and their attack patterns, understand the environment and its hazards and figure out how to best approach the situation. Once you do all that, I promise you that the game is extremely fun and rewarding and its not hard to figure out all of what I said earlier. Most of it becomes second nature to you at some point because the game mechanics support it.

The only drawback (or cons) I'd would prefer to mention are the Bestiary at its current state (not gameplay related at all, could use some polishing and I think there's a bug when it comes to tracking number of kills made) and the lack luster feel for ranged weapons. Maybe im just not using guns/bows right but right now but having a two handed melee weapon definitely beats a bow in terms of overall impact.

I do not hesitate buying this game in any way and am excited to see whats in store in the future!
