So, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. After playing both the first and second games in the series, this one is definitely different. This game changes quite a lot from the first two. First, SPACE! This game takes place in, [SPOILER!], Space. More specifically, the moon and on the giant space station from Borderlands 2(BL2), Helios. So, that being said, the map isn't terribly large. It's definitely not as large as BL2's map, but being that BL2 was Supposed to have the biggest map, that's to be expected. Now, a lot of complaints I see about it is the low gravity and platforming aspects. First off, the low gravity feels floaty but it does Not restrict combat, it makes it fun by letting you get kills in the air. Trust me, losing the fun low gravity happens a few times in the game and you won't enjoy the loss of mobility that low gravity gives you. As for the platforming aspect, you run and jump. I guess that's platforming, but there's not many other ways to get around on foot to begin with. I've also noted that a few people complain about the slamming feature being required to progress, which is not true in the least. I have only played the main campaign, not the dlc, but there's only two quests I can remember that require it, and they're side quests. Alright, so now that those "problems" are cleared up, let's get back to the good parts that I love about it. One of my favorite changes to the game is the change from level 5 to level 3 to get your first action point. It doesn't seem like a big change, but that's two extra points to go towards the skill trees. They also added a new type of gun, lasers. I can sum them up really easy: either they're awesome or they aren't. The story is kind of short but fun. I like that there's varied voice actors, or at least varied accents. There's some Australian, some British, and of course the normal American. The story is interesting, albeit a bit short, it shows a different perspective to the character Handsome Jack which is what it was supposed to do. The game is just enough like the old ones to make you want to play and new enough to keep you playing. The price, I will admit, is a bit high. Personally, I was able to catch it on a cheap sale, and I recommend you do the same. I don't feel $40 is worth it, (but really, I hardly feel any game is worth more than $20) but for $15 or $20 you'll feel feel that it was a great buy.

Pretty much my new favorite puzzle game, of all time. It starts off fairly simple, and slowly increases in difficulty. They introduce new concepts to the puzzles very well, giving you time to adjust. My favorite part is the musical portion, it's unique (at least to me) in a puzzle game to have it all reliant on sound. Nothing is more satisfying than correctly matching up the sound bits to the song, piece by piece, and playing it as a whole and hearing it match solidly to the original. The composer is fun, even with next to no knowledge on how to make music you can throw in a few random things on the track list and it'll probably sound close to decent, I haven't experimented with it too much but I look forward to it. The game itself is fairly priced, if you enjoy music based games or puzzle games, you'll feel it was well worth it, if not for the game itself but just to mess around in the composer (especially if you caught it on a sale, like I did.)
