You were good, son, real good. Maybe even the best.

I don't even know if anyone can get this at the moment.

The game is good, both for people who want the free items, and people who like to play poker with some of the most unlikely groups of people. I find the idea of all of these characters entertaining, and whilst not as amusing as the first, some of the interactions between the characters are top-notch.

Also, I need the Steam Grand Prix points, so that's mostly why this review exists.

As soon as I saw the raving rainbow cat on the trailer, I knew it was the one.

Played a map.
Destroyed stuff.

Played another map.
Makes a complex maze with optimal range on the towers.
Boss B*tch shows up.
Ignores maze, destroys all my ♥♥♥♥.
Lose.

Noticed progression system, can obtain new items with higher levels.
OCD activated.

But if you want a serious review.. This game is extremely fun to play. It looks cool, plays cool. The main point of the game is Tower Defense mixed with FPS. In Sanctum 2, it's not one or the other. BOTH need to be utilized in order to be victorious, which adds a further challenge to the game.

As if the game wasn't hard enough. You need the help of some fellow buddies to accomplish your goal. They bring along extra firepower and resources to build more stuff.

In terms of gameplay, hybrid tower defense and FPS is a splendid idea. There are tons of towers, guns and perks allowing you to mix and match to your specialty.
The towers range from laser beams, tripmine dispensers, super long range sniper towers, amplification towers, drone launchers and even rocket towers!
The guns range from melee saws, Tesla beams, shotguns, snipers, rocket launchers, and even drone launchers, wait didn't we have those..

WELP, THAT'S ENOUGH PROOF FOR ME.

A game that is literally being kept alive solely for the purpose of preservation. I'm paraphrasing, but that's what the team that took over, Grey Havens, said.

The game is not getting any worthwhile content updates or reasons to play from being a grind fest.

It has a good community, and the gameplay is rather solid. But the world and grinding slowly feels empty the more you play it. I'm not going to say the game is dead, because from a playerbase standpoint, the game has people who stick around. There is actually no fall as of late.

But there is an insane amount of wasted potential with the game only existing for the sake of existing, getting constant cosmetic loot box events that are probably the only thing the devs are using to pay for the game. The game stopped progressing.

Before my playtime is noted, I would like to note that I do not play it any more since Steam support for the game has almost completely faded out. The last news we got on Steam was for the Christmas event, and they removed a feature of the game that allowed cross-game trading, such as trading SK items for TF2/CS:GO items.

For short, the gameplay is good, but there is a lot of wasted potential and it will get old fast unless you like this kind of game. If so, by all means, go ahead. May be up your alley.
