So Sony backed down with their mandatory PSN inclusion and thus made the game available for people outside of those countries, right?
Last I heard, the game is still unavailable in many countries.

There's a lot of promise here, and a truly great game under all this, but Sony's desire for user data and investor appeal *will* be the downfall of this game.
Arrowhead, I'm talking to you here. Declare yourself free from Sony's demands, republish if need be, see if Microsoft will help you port to Xbox, and stand your ground; You know this will be a fatal blow if you let this continue as is.

You operated just fine without Sony's help at launch, don't let them destroy what you've only just started.

honestly, loving it, few minor bugs, the rare random crash, and server connection issues are the only problems i've had

While I never used the mods for fear of getting banned, i know a lot of my friends used to use them, including anti-crasher mods.

The dev's have been listening and integrated *one* mod feature i know my friends used to use yet have said nothing on behalf of the crashers or rippers, and integrated an anti-cheat onto something that if you're playing it at its highest level of quality is *already* pretty taxing, and the further you push it the less work crashers need to put into their crashing avatars to cause real, physical, permanent damage to your PC

I'd also like to mention, they're looking for people both trained in anti-fraud, and heavily interested in crypto on their hiring page, so its likely they're going to add NFTs to the game. The anti-cheat was just something to kill their modding community, ensure a higher percent of their users are paying for things mods used to let you have for free *before* it was a paid option, and to make sure their blockchain isnt bypassed.

As of currently, 15% of recent reviews are positive, there are 25.7k recent reviews, and likely the positive ones are people who make positive ones as a joke when this is a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up thing to happen to a once beloved online platform, or people who don't understand whats coming for them down the pipeline.

Its just good, and stands on its own without mods too.

Honestly this game has been such a time sink, and not because of a grind-y process of leveling weapons to throw away or inching your power level a little further, but instead simply due to how much fun you can have, even when you're playing alone with Bosco, your helpful little tin can robot assistant drone thing.

Regardless of how you play in games, there's usually something for you in one of the classes, and even their sub classes if you count that.

The Scout can swap his assault rifle for what essentially is a M1 Garand you can snipe things with, and his grappling hook can help you and your team get high up materials, while his flare gun can light up entire caverns in seconds. The Engineer's sentries alone have many play styles in them, from a hold the line machine gun to multiple (two) sentries you can place independently, and his platform gun is useful universally for patching holes in the floor, making a walkway across a ravine, or giving your scouts somewhere to stand to get the high up resources they couldnt otherwise. The Gunner's shield give your team temporary places to sit for safety and a shield recharge, or a quick bunker to revive a fallen team mate, and his zipline gun can move an entire team like they had grappling hooks (although not as quickly) to quickly cross places the engineer couldn't quickly bridge, or to provide two way movement through the air.

And then there is Driller... a beast of a man with drill arms, c4 charges, a flamethrower, ready to drill into, blow up, and set fire to all his teammates alien bugs and terrain alike, and often times his unassuming drills are the thing that gets you to the drop pod safely.

here we are again 3 years later, time really flies doesnt it? overall, my opinion has stayed the same, and its generally a wonderful game, made better by the updates that have come along and the company's commitment to making sure as little time sensitive stuff is truely locked away forever, such as the recent seasons (which are 100% free, no paid season passes or locked cosmetics or boost systems, everyone gets their progress equally)

I don't have much to say in terms of for the game, its a very casual game that I've been proud to buy several disk copies, and now finally having it on Steam is great for me.

The game is very calm for the most part, and the enemies easily able to be pushed into corners, so they dont post too much risk to your tank unless you flood the tank with fish. That said, the final boss can be a pain for less nimble people, like my 7 year old self, and the virtual aquarium screensaver doesnt seem to work on wiindows 10 anymore sadly, but it is fun regardless to play.
