Gameplay is interesting deck building. Story element is basically danganonpa (art, sounds, themes.) There is a certain part of the story that is silently dropped without any in-game reasoning. Other than that it's really good.

I did not expect to play this much.
Be warned, farming takes a serious back-seat in this game, but that makes it much more interesting for a "farming sim".
If you're burnt out of the farming sim formula, you may like this twist.

Pros:
- Story is way better than it needed to be. It's not amazing but it's definitely deeper than it seems at surface level.
- Interesting characters.
- Encountered very few bugs.
- Beautiful art style.
- Voice Acting !!!!! (Note in cons)
- 4 starting weapons can be a bit boring, but there are unique weapons later with their own animations.

Cons:
- Voice acting seriously deteriorates for specific characters towards endgame. It can sound literally "phoned-in" at times. This is probably a consequence of the extended early access development process, seems like the lines were not all recorded at once.
- As is typical of this genre, if you play too efficiently or too inefficiently you can end up in a situation where timings between plot and gameplay don't line up or feel fine-tuned. ie, you can have multiple days of 0 story, or days with too much to do.
- There are annoying, but *not game-breaking* bugs. But the developers are constantly patching.
- Holy moly the sand sledding mini-game is not play-tested.


Despite all this I *highly recommend* Your Time at Sandrock, you will have a hard time finding another game with this much content and quality. I honestly think this is second only to Stardew Valley on Steam.
