A lot of gripes on the pay to win. I don't see it that way. You pay to skip some grind on one or mulitple ships. Theres a lot more ships in the game. You don't have to pay, I'm 200 hrs deep and barely plumbed the depths of the game but still find new exciting things (I found my first neutron star last night). I'm starting the engineering grind now because I've spent many hours to get to a stage I can feel comfortable doing it over MULTIPLE YEARS. If FDEV want to help people catch up to their friends and join in their wings and bypass hundreds of hours of grind, heck yeah! And if that helps FDEV keep adding new things to the game, kick azz! The ships you buy are even fully engineered so I say: "FDEV Why wasn't this available earlier?" (A few of my friends have joined the universe recently and they aren't buying the ships, they're going to grind and thats absolutely the choice they can make.)

Age of Wonders. A bit different to the previous title, combat is similar. Missing the unit descriptions that would scroll through in AoW3.

April 2020, (Denis' Dune drops in December)... Homeworld I, II and now Deserts complete.
Compared to the original its an easier game to get in to, 3D strategy sometimes flies over my head (or under) rarely straight at you. This is straight to the point, feels a bit C&C'esque, not a bad thing. Could have made campaign longer and offered Gaalsien Campaign and the DLC also could have expanded the campaign.
