With about 50 hours on record, I can definitively say that this game is a decent game, but has too many problems. Let me go over some of the extremely bad bugs I experienced in the first week of playing this game.
- The game crashed. Not just once, not just twice, but I counted a total of 19 crashes. No, my computer is not bad. Sometimes when screen transitioning it will just crash and you'll loose all your progress if you don't religiously save.
- I lost all my inventory on multiple occasions. This is a massive problem as all I could do was reload or sacrifice everything I had.
- The walking house generally doesn't always work to stay on its path. It will just go off the side of the map sometimes.
- A notification appeared in the greenhouse saying the plants wouldn't grow in season, despite being seasonless.
- You could duplicate all spirits by just taming the main one and running, including rare ones.

It's a real big shame. These will probably get patched over time, yes, but what isn't as fixable is the gameplay.
- Of the different types of spirits, the balancing severely favors certain types. Not only that, some can deal 1 million damage on turn one, while others barely survive a single hit.
- Experience gain is ABYSMAL. Your options are to plant crops and spam them to increase experience or just tame new spirits. You can't reasonably level anything.
- The relationships aren't really to the level of Stardew Valley, and it feels that way when you become serious with someone. It ends up feeling pretty hollow, and talking to someone feels like a task.
- The dungeons are extremely bland. They all look fairly similar, and there are several that are just "Banish all the spirits to win!"

To be honest, my opinion leads to be a roughly 7/10 game. Not a bad thing, but because of the bugs really, really making me waste a total of 5+ hours of real life time due to crashes and inventory losses, it's hard to reccomend it in its current state. The developers just needed a bit more Q&A, and the game could've easily hit the 8-9/10 range. If this game gets good updates in the future, I will switch to reccomending and adjust my review, but currently it's not the best game.

A very fun ride. This is not fun if you hate card games such as MTG, Hearthstone, etc.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR WITH FRACKIN' UNIVERSE MOD. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN AMAZING VANILLA EXPERIENCE, TERRARIA IS WAITING FOR YOU.

With the addition of Frackin' Universe, the complexity of the game is unlocked, and honestly given a depth beyond many other games. When playing this game Vanilla, you'll notice that the game is... not really that difficult, has many issues, and isn't really all that fun to progress in. While I'd reccomend starting on a Vanilla file, beating the main story, then installing Frackin' Universe, you've got a game that outshines most with it installed. I cannot say enough about this mod, as it really fulfills the sci-fi aspect, mixing lots of chemistry, biology, electric technology, and more all into a small package, leading to an enjoyable experience.

For reference, I would say I spent 30 hours Vanilla, and any hours following that were either first Frackin' Universe plays, or subsequent plays on Frackin' Universe. If you don't venture into the workshop, though, the game will leave you feeling a little incomplete.

If you like metroidvanias, this game is a must have. The combat is so well intertwined with the platforming that it feels second nature, and your combat is just as useful for platforming as it is a means to an end. With small resource management in the form of Soul, you can decide whether to go offensive with it, firing powerful spells that deal massive damage, or retreat inwards and heal after a length of time.

This constant gameplay is formatted around a stunning world, filled with typical metroidvania lore, stylized within the tunnels of the bug kingdom of Hollownest. Whether it's reading lore tablets, breaking walls for secrets, or ascending beyond your frail form, it makes for an experience unlike any other, and easily reccomendable to anyone who doesn't mind getting their head bashed in a hundred or so times.

A great game, with a really brutal difficulty. It's not exactly a problem when it comes to this game, but I wouldn't reccomend this game if you can't take being beaten down by each of the bosses a few hundred times. Other than that, the progression system is rewarding, allowing you to make and craft some really nifty tools, and even have variaty in specialization late game.

Playing this game is fluid and works exactly like you expect, with really responsive abilities that often leave you feeling at fault for your own death, which is a good thing. The high skill cap that I haven't reached in over 200 hours, to where I would be able to survive permadeath mode, just gives it the sort of high level of replayability.

Beautiful, stunning, and a worthy sequal to the first game. Everything in the first game is made better and more fun in this game, from combat to exploration. The story will make you cry, just like the first one, and it's a perfect of "Show don't tell" for emotional scenes, with only a few words, yet animations that carry heavy emotion.

Don't buy this and play it without playing the first one, though. The story picks up DIRECTLY after Ori and the Blind Forest. The beautiful story loses a lot of weight playing them out of order.

Here, right off the bat let's talk about difficulty. If you are contimplating buying this and you were only meteochre at the game, you will NOT enjoy a majority of the DLC, which is death wish. The arctic cruise may still be for you though.
Another thing to adress is that the game creators have actually been patching the DLC, so now it is unrequired to beat any death wish.

If you played A Hat In Time and questioned "So when is the challenge", purchase this dlc today. If you did not get every time peice, the death wish is probably not for you. As for the new chapter, if you followed on the discord and website you would know it would be smaller in scope to release on time. It still feels very polished and unique, much like the others. I would reccomend the DLC overall, but don't be disappointed if it isn't a full new game. That's not DLC.

This game was beautiful and played well, but it had some flaws.

What it did right:
-Beautifuly designed areas with amazing art
-An interesting story
-Unrequired dungeons that are more difficult
-Extra trial pads, where you are challenged the most
-Something that sounds like a horrible idea, having the gameplay typing, but is done really well
-Well thought out an excecuted puzzles
-A hefty sum of achievements to earn

What it did wrong:
-The game was way to short. It took me 6 hours to get all the nests cleared, all the puzzle peices and beat the game
-There was a distinct advantage to using just the fire power, rather than any other power. The other ones felt useless in battle unless very very specific circumstances are met, or it is outright required
-The ending (At least to me) was not very satisfying
-The asking price of $15 is a lot for a short game. I would do it from $7-$10; I only got it because of the sale
-It isn't challenging for the most part in normal gameplay on adaptive difficulty, but the optional ones are unrelenting, I wished the difficulty was spread out
-If you get hit just once in a nest, you have to start it over from the begining. This, by itself, is a somewhat decent idea, but there are so many waves in each nest that you have to drudge through 10 waves that take a solid 6 minutes just to get back to the word and maybe beat it. It would work better with checkpoints.

Alltogether, I'd reccomend this game if you can get it on discount. The full asking price is too much for what it is, but on sale it is a great use of your money.
