Early Access Review
This game is a pile of garbage. Avoid it like the plague. Hell, go out and get the plague instead to ensure you never have to bear the displeasure of playing this pile of trash. Also do NOT let the "awards" fool you. These were given to the game prior to any real time for public review, and notice how they only seem to be from the year 2013, which, oh look, is the release year. I wonder why it hasn't got any more awards recently? We'll get into that below.

There is such poor optimisation that an i7 and 980 ti can keep a stable framerate on some of the lowest settings.
Not to mention there are weeks, WEEKS between small patches, and I'm not talking add a gun here, add a building there, I'm talking under 10mb updates including essentially nothing but small bug fixes that just seem to make the optimisation worse time and time again. I used to be able to play this game on a GTX 760m, a real piece of ♥♥♥♥ gpu, and now I can barely keep a stable 60fps on some of the lowest graphics settings.

But for want to not sound like a purely salty biased reviewer, I will point out some good points:
The sound design is great in this game, the ambience, the reactive sound, the weapon sounds and more are very well done, unfortunately let down by everything else.
The visual design, the game itself LOOKS great on max settings, but you would of course need an overclocked setup of four GTX 1080s to keep a semi-stable cinematic 24 fps due to the garbage optimisation. I also have to ask the question, how much of this game was actually made by the original developers, given that it's essentially a carbon copy of the Arma II map. This of course begs the question - WHAT HAVE THE DEVELOPERS BEEN DOING FOR THREE YEARS?

My first death in this game was due to a bug, and my last death was due to a bug. I actually counted the causes of my deaths in this game. Five of the thirty or so deaths I've accumuated in this game were actually due to other players, or normal zombie behaviour. The other twenty five are due to game breaking bugs, most of which have not been patched, YEARS later, some of which include; invisible zombies hitting you, zombies under the floor hitting you, zombies walking through walls hitting you, walking through walls yourself and falling to your death, stepping over a rock and dying. The list goes on and on, and it is truly pathetic that this can still be sold as nearly full retail price game, for a broken, poorly updated mess.

TL;DR: DO NOT GET THIS GAME, IF YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GET A ZOMBIE/SURVIVAL GAME, GET RUST OR 7 DAYS TO DIE, AT LEAST THOSE GAMES ARE CONTINUALLY DEVELOPED WITH LARGE CONTENT DROPS, BALANCE PATCHES, AND BUG FIXES.
