Great game as a whole but the people behind this game and companies really really seem questionable. All of the MikeZ bs including the censorship crap really got me thinking a bit.

The game is fun but whoever thought to make the CHARACTERS of a BATTLE ROYALE only obtainable through GACHA or the special pass needs to be fired imo... Like I get it, Gacha needs to be part of every damn game nowadays to get even an inch off the ground. But in a game like this where the main focus is on the characters and what they can do in a game that is competitive and pvp focused making them non purchasable through in game currency is a little scummy and an amazing way to split the hell out of the player base especially when novelty wears off. The cosmetics should be the main thing we roll for.

The game is very fun to play but for those looking to play your favorite characters either hope that character is in the current roll rotation OR enjoy renting them 3 times a day.

NGL was just reminded of this game and STILL wanna slap the dev upside the head for not considering online multiplayer in such a game as this... It's still a good game but ffs lol.

Its just not that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to launch the game AS THE DEV TEAM and notice your game is a buggy mess BEFORE putting it on steam... These aren't even hard to produce bugs. These are CONSTANT. Audio stuttering, beginning cutscene stutter, If an ally dies in the pit while other allies are in the pit all the monsters stop spawning entirely and in some cases it marks the very alive player in the pit as dead and gets rid of the icon notifying your team of where to revive you trapping you in the pit with nothing to do. THOSE ARE JUST A FEW BUGS that would have been easy to spot if you lazy ♥♥♥♥♥ didn't just put the game on steam as an early access mess. Imagine making sure the micro transactions work tho so you can make your characters look cool over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game play...

I don't normally leave reviews but good lord stuff like this really gets on my nerves. Imagine stealing the idea for you base game but not stealing the common sense that would allow you morons to pick these bugs out ahead of time.

Abandoned game with good potential. Sadly the second part is the most painful part about it... Personally hope there is a rule set soon that allows mass refunds on games like this or at the very least start cracking down hard on devs who think this ♥♥♥♥ is a funny thing to do. $30.00 for a game that was abandoned and did NOT have the early access label on it.

Edit: Checked back on the game a year later and STILL nothing changed. I hope that this review keeps anyone and everyone from purchasing this scam of a game...

Glad they got this out before the end of 2020 on Christmas no less. I felt the joy of actually wanting something for Christmas again as an adult. Didn't think I would experience the release in my lifetime and the product is pretty solid unlike AAA games that dropped like cyberpunk.

This game is now just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. 6 years for THIS??? Lone indie dev or not you REALLY screwed the ONE THING that made playing this game worth it. The Alpha was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FUN. And we were able to sink endless hours into it. Granted end game was end game and we needed more. WHY IN THE ♥♥♥♥ rip down the foundation of your game to push this nonsense??? Wolfram... I cant feel sorry for you. You failed as a dev and you deserve all of the hate you are currently receiving. Don't hide behind these blind ass pats on the back you're getting from these sheeps. You're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clown, a sham, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dimwit! I hope you never push another game out again until you fix this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. 0/10 don't waste money on this ♥♥♥♥ I wouldn't even care if people decided to pirate and mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of it to fix the mistakes.

EDIT: Within my rage toward the game I forgot that the modding community exist. And well... Like always they came in clutch. There is a mod out that not only gets rid of the stupid region locking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but also makes it so the game scales based on your "setpoint" What is a set point you may ask. Well this mod also allows for you to pick a spot to kinda work as the center of the scale. So lets say you want your spawn area to be a spawn area and have enemies that are the same level as you starting out. You would type the command /setcenter. That will then take the cords of where you are standing and make it so the further out from the cords you go in regions the harder and stronger the enemies get. No more spawning and being surrounded by 50k+ hp mobs who will one shot you if you so much as breath the wrong way.

The mod also makes everyones spawn point near or very close to a town so that you don't have to search for hours to find a flight master and meet up with your friends. Also this should go without saying when playing with friends you should all pick the same center spot. For the most part the centers are region based but its a lot better to just all meet up stand close to each other and everyone use the command. Also important note is the /setcenter command only works one time per character. So if you somehow ♥♥♥♥ it up and set your center faaaaar away from where you wanted it then sorry buddy make a new character and try again.

This makes the game playable and I truly thank the modding community for doing what they do best. Fixing dumbass mistakes game devs make that ruin their games. (looking at you wall-e)

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

I've found myself questioning how so much love can be put into such small titles as opposed to the AAA games out there that make and spend millions. Each time I play the new best thing I find myself looking back at this game and wishing that all devs had as much drive as Radical Fish and everyone who was a part of CrossCode. People who stood by their fans and made every active attempt to better the game when it was needed, even going as far as giving us the option to pick Dual Shock or Xbox button layouts. While that may be minor in the grand scheme of things it shows the extra mile they were willing to take for the player. This game is honestly one of the very few games I found myself actually wanting to get through work to play again. Amazing visuals, Great music, Unique take on "mute" protags, Compelling story, Great game mechanics, Smooth and clean controls, Difficult where it needs to be, Good puzzle design, and much much more. This game is very much worth it's price at $20.00 and even more so during the Autumn Sale at $17.00. If you have the money and you're looking for quality gameplay then this is definitely that game for you.

I actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game. Arcs Doesn't normally make mistakes but I guess there's a first for everything. Whoever thought to add RWBY characters should honestly just be fired. And Rooster teeth need to stick to making awful "animes" and great content that isn't RWBY related. UNIB characters compared to everyone else in the game flow too well. And that is the reason these chracters belong in their respected games but good lord mixing them all pretty much sounds better on paper than it looks in action. They fixed the most annoying bug so that's something I guess but outside of that one bug it's still buggy as ♥♥♥♥. Dead playerbase which is understandable at this point with this game hardly breaking 200 players at one time. They made everything too simple in hopes of attracting a more casual player base but forgot that no matter what hardcore players will always stomp out the casual ones. I do love each other fighting game on their own (btw where the heck is Persona 4A for steam?) but mixed I hate it.
