Early Access Review
This is a very good example of Early Access done exceptionally well. The game already, despite not being complete, feels like a finished product and is receiving frequent, significant updates.
Gameplay-wise, it is a solid, difficult game. Stress and its effects on characters is a unique element to any game, and this one does it well in a Lovecraftian-vein. The adventuring and upgrading is well done, though players should not become too attached to any one character as the likelihood for that character dying is generally high. Even when you're doing well, things can turn ugly in an instant. All in all, it's a solid game that has its difficulty, frequent updates, and a unique concept all done well.

I will start this by saying that I was introduced to the Ys series via Falcom's other main series "The Legend of Heroes"; that being said, this is a complete change of pace, so if you are expecting something along similar veins, just know that it's different, good, but different.
The next thing to note is that the game's bosses can be balls-to-the-walls difficult. Perhaps I'm just a casual, and I probably am, but some of those fights took a good hour or more to finally beat. I consider Ys to be the "Dark Souls of JRPGs."
All in all, it's a fun, about 20hr game, but insanely difficult, so if you're not into the challenge, then maybe play on one of the easy difficulties.

A very aesthetically pleasing game both visually and musically. The puzzles are fun and generally pretty simple (you do benefit slightly from knowing at least basic Japanese Kanji for numbers). It is very short (probably 2hrs max), so it's best to wait for it to go on sale or be put in another bundle with other games since 10$ likely doesn't justify a 2hr game with virtually no replayability. Other than its length, however; it is quite nice.

There are very few games where at the end of them I can stop and just say "beautiful." This is one of them. For a JRPG, this is on par with some of the greats like Chrono Trigger. The story is brilliant, the dialoge feels natural (I live streamed the entire game, and after getting comfortable doing voices, I can say that reading the dialoge out-loud felt natural and fluid), the characters are memorable, and the world building is rather nice, too. The game's music is alright, but I feel that sometimes it doesn't always fit. The combat starts out seeming very shallow, but as you progress, you discover more diverse ways of making characters unique in a similar manner to FF7's Materia setup. The story starts a bit slow, but does pick up quickly and is truely memorable. It does end on a cliffhanger, and the second game for this trilogy has yet to be translated for English audiances, so keep that in mind. For the current 20$ price, however; you get around 60hrs of a truely beautiful game. Most highly recommended.

A great, albeit, short 2d stealth game. The concept of manipulating electronics was very fun to work with. The game eases the player into it rather well, and by the time the player gets to the meat of the game, it is at a perfect difficulty. A good game for the price. Was fun to play and stream.

This game can best be described as a short, but pleasant visual novel that is quite light-hearted and has a rather relateable story and protagonist. The game itself can be completed in, at most, a single hour (probably quicker, but I was live-streaming it when I played it). The art-style and music are all very nice (I really enjoy the title menu's music). Overall, the writting feels very natural and casual (there were a couple of areas that I thought sounded a little odd, but it wasn't anything large and is likely just me).

The only real negative I can say is that the ending is extremely abrupt and that there really is only one "good" ending. You get a few situations where you have to make a choice between two options, and only one of them will actually progress the plot, as where the other will lead to a "bad" ending immediately. Other than that, I don't have any real complaints for this game.

It's short and sweet, which is likely what it set out to be, and it's free. Definetly worth a playthrough on a rainy afternoon or a stay-at-home night.

After having put quite a few good hours into this game (and still going strong) I can say that it is worth the small price of getting it. Like some people, when I first came into Terraria, I exepcted something of a 2d Minecraft. After spending 40mins trying to figure out how to place a damn door, I realized that this really shouldn't be compared to Minecraft alone. This game feels like something of a hybrid between Minecraft and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Yes, it sounds strange to say that, but considering the items you can get, the boss battles, and the general atmosphere of the game, I feel that is pretty much what Terraria is. That being said, it is unique in a lot of ways and highly worth getting.
It may be confusing, difficult, or frusterating at first (I didn't look at the wiki until at least a good 15 hours into it, so that might explain that), but once you pass that hump, it is quite enjoyable. Once again, it's worth getting.

I've only been playing this game for a short while, but so far it is quite enjoyable. Getting to Sector 5 on Normal for the first time was a great feeling, and the game is full of those type of situations where you achieve something amasing that makes you want to keep going even after you lose your crew five times. I haven't finished this game yet, but I can already see where there is a lot of replay value. For a strategy game, this offers a lot more than what you would expect. The soundtrack is also really good.
I would like to see more options for customizing your ship at the start (like some of the starting stats). But I think the different types of ships you can choose from allows that.
All in all, this is quite a good game so far. A solid 8/10 at least.
