Rip and Tear, er, Purge and Cleanse!

B movie monster swarms and solid B movie writing, an excellent chaotic arcade shooter.

This game is like a breath of fresh air, which is weird, seeing as it brings this feeling of nostalgia. I have already put 100 hours in and can say that this game has more than earned its spot in my favorites. Looking at some other reviews i would like to say that this game is probably not for everyone, it can be really slow going and is not a game you can boot up and put just 10 minutes into. The map is massive and finding resources or just surviving can be tedious and deadly (looking at you deathsquitos). These things can kill a game for some people, or make it more enjoyable for others, I fall into the latter obviously.

My favorite part of the game would have to be the building system which allows for some truly great builds, and is even better when you build with friends. My least favorite would be resource collecting, not like stone, wood, and ores, but more like not being able to farm thistle, berries and the likes.

TL;DR: Games good if you got time

This game is great, and i want to like Bethesda, but Denuvo anti-cheat is way to drastic for a game that is primarily bought and played for the singleplayer experience, there are better options than installing what amounts to kernal base possible malware. I know it says "it doesn't spy on you" but this is a program that has the potential to do almost anything to a computer, its a hackers wet dream to find a backdoor into something like this.

Like i said, i like this game and Bethesda, up to a point, and I'm not touching this game until its removed/replaced with a better system. This update was malicious at worst or dangerously stupid at best. Hope you don't try this with es6, because I'm really looking forward to what will hopefully be a game to rival or surpass skyrim

Edit: Denuvo is getting removed next update, as such my review will change once the next update releases.

mods make it better
but if you want super fortresses (more than 40~ish pawns), hope you brought a beefy pc

master chefs finest dishes are back

As someone with 100+ hours, I'm still discovering and have yet to beat all hardmode bosses, Its a great game, and its still getting massive updates! (could be half a year, BUT THEY'RE MASSIVE)

Edit: 600+ more hours and its still fun to play
