I've had many hours of joy with this one. It was sop nice to look at and to spend time in front of, so it made playing the game a real pleasure. There's probably some little elements that other reviews will focus on but to me they are not as critical given the cost and high quality. I hope the title finds a larger audience than it currently has as it's really smart and well executed!

Probably my favorite online game of the past 10 years. It completely accomplished everything it set out to do and I hope that this project sees further dev funding and support to bring it into the next generation for console players.

It can still have its golden hour but it needs to trust that porting it with frame enhancements to 60fps on next generation console will entice a new crowd and not just scare off the current one.

I'll keep this as brief as I can. This isn't Xcom 3. The overwhelming majority of negative reviews I'm seeing will at one point or another say "...like in XCOM". In fact I've never really seen a game get so broadly held up to another when it is not a successor nor is it from the same studio.

I am not a fan of these types of games. I suppose I just find them a little bit boring. But there is so much I enjoyed about this. The violence, the characters, the visuals and performance. I played for 2 hours last night and will commit more time tonight. I'm giving this game a positive review because I haven't played XCOM so I don't have that preconceptions about what this game should be, rather I will be playing it for what it is. And what it is, is a charming, optimized and very enjoyable game with a signature of Romero in it's DNA.

A truly beautiful and thoroughly engaging game in a genre which I have not really spent time with since my raiders of the lost ark/broken sword phase as a kid. The characters flesh themselves out very quickly thanks to the excellent dialog options which give you a lot of control over the tone of the conversation and how you want to go about approaching each interaction. Can't wait to see how the story evolves upon full release.

I can't believe how much my imagination is overclocking right now. It's the middle of the day, I'm in my room with headphones on playing a text game and looking over my shoulder in paranoid fear, laughing in discomfort all the while.
So far, so SO good! (I'm 32 so I'm getting a nostalgia from this that may be lost on others)

This could be the first time that I've felt a dramatic change from a beta round to early access release. It feels so much better than it did before and they key changes they made to the end game are making a tonne of difference! Some some ways to go yet toward improving it but they are off to a flying start. Such a rush of a game that takes very little time to go from logging in to high intensity!

Given the stable rate of improvements they've made to the game since general release I'm really happy to change my review from a negative to a positive. I was so dissappointed with how long everything was taking before 1.0 but since it dropped there has been regular meaningful updates that have improved gameplay performance and ultimately my enjoyment levels.

Well done PUBG Corp and the crew at Bluehole.

One of the single greatest gaming experiences of my life.

As a child we would watch the great tech noir and cyber horror movies on our not so big screens and our imagination would run rampant. What would we do if we were Ripley? How would we manage in the shadow of Giger's nightmare?

Alien Isolation is everything we could have ever wanted in the form of an Alien game. I feel emotional writing this because I know I'll never be able to fully express how happy this title made me and continues to make me when I step back in via the DLC.

If you love games, or just movies, or just the virtual endevours of engineers and designers who make this kind of experience possible, then you owe it to yourself to play Alien Isolation even if you never play another game ever again.
