Valve refuses to fix the game despite thousands of diehard fans playing every single day as well as spending their hard earned money on it. Bots infest casual matchmaking to the point that the game is borderline unplayable. Every single lobby has a group of bot snipers that insta headshot anyone in sight, and votekick all real players, allowing no one to play.

Followed the production of the game for years. Was very excited to play it, especially with how the game was portrayed in the trailers. looked like doom in the macabre world of Giger. They put a special focus on showcasing the combat in these videos as well.

The game is nothing like what many people who have been following it expected it to be. It is essentially a walking simulator, it would be more accurate to call this interactive digital art than a "video game." The combat is few and far inbetween, and the combat itself or lackluster and does not give any sense of satisfaction. Most of the game is a huge maze where every single texture melds together because of the art style, making it more difficult than it should be to find items and objects you need to interact with. You will spend more time wandering around frustrated than actually making any meaningful progress in the story. For a game that has almost no content and can be completed in 3-6 hours easily, it's a little shocking to know that it was in production and teased for about a decade. And on top of all this, the game costs $40. I think fair pricing would be $10, $15 maximum.

Although I would rate the spectacular visuals of this game a 10, overall I was very disappointed with this game, and personally would not recommend it. I think a fair score would be 2.5/10.
