If this is your kink or you like to destroy ♥♥♥♥, it's a pretty fun game! Also it's five bucks so can't really go wrong there.

This game contains lesbian animals that are in fact super. Fun rpg with great writing.

TL;DR: This game is gay as heck. The cast is great, gameplay is fun, there's a good but not excessive amount of collectibles, and the devs did a good job job of having a story that works with whoever and however many of your weapons you decide to date.

Definitely worth the $20, while short and pretty easy by dungeon crawler standards it's a fun and pretty unique experience. The gameplay isn't super deep, each weapon has a set of combos consisting of mixes of heavy and light attacks but almost none of them are more complicated than: press light as many times as you want, then heavy for the rest of the 4 or 5 hit combo. Each weapon does have unique abilities that unlock as you improve your relationship such as chain lightning on hit or critical hits if your enemies are confused. Combat feels satisfying and there's enough loot keep completionists occupied without being overwhelming.

For the dating part of dating your weapons, you've got guys, gal (just the one for now but another is coming in an update or dlc), and non binary pals, and you can set your own gender to one of these options as well. You'll have a good mix of personalities amongst your arsenal, each with a pretty interesting and unique story to explore. There's no punishment for polyamory and there are aro and ace options for each partner. Although each of these "options" are set by a single dialogue choice each and you cannot change your mind afterwards. Started a relationship with Isaac because he was the first character you met but later decided that Rowan is the nb of your dreams and you'd like to be exclusive with them? Not today. Also depending on the character, platonic relationships can feel kinda weird in this game, sometimes feeling like your dates (spending time with a character is called a date regardless of what your status is with them) have only had one or two bits of dialogue modified ever so slightly to account for your decision.

There is a disclaimer regarding this at the start but this game has some uncomfortable stalker moments in it and I'd strongly recommend treading lightly if that's a subject that you are sensitive to for whatever reason.

Great gameplay, great music, fantastic characters, writing, and voice acting.

I love this game. I don't think I've ever actually cared for a protagonist in a video game until I played this, the unique puzzle mechanics of this game blew my mind the first time through, but admittedly could be clunky at times and were significantly less cool on a second playthrough. I also don't truly see any real reason to replay this game until march when the countdown clock in the city you see on your second playthrough will reach 0 and because I feel even more strongly about keeping this save file in tact than my undertale true pacifist save. I want more of this game though, and I want more people to find it, so that we can see the ideas established in this game expanded upon further.

I almost never leave reviews for games. But the backlash that Overkill is receiving for adding weapon skins that can add a small bonus to certain weapons is ridiculous. Calm down, your guns still work fine, it's not Pay 2 Win, it's pay 2 look pretty. It's day 1 of crimefest, the weapons rebalance is a good thing, skins are meh, and there's still a lot of ♥♥♥♥ coming in the next few days. Going around yelling "I'M UNINSTALLING BECAUSE OVERKILL IS A GREEDY BUNCH OF MONEY ♥♥♥♥♥♥" is overreacting to something incredibly insignificant. If you don't like it, sure express your distaste, but calm the ♥♥♥♥ down.
