DK was one of my all time favorite games, so of course I would love to see this game flourish. I wouldn't have taken the time to write a review if it were just some other crappy game that didn't live up to expectation.
I KNOW this can be an incredible game ALREADY. So does everyone else out there that loved DK. But frankly, what I was sold at the time of the review was sentiment without substance.
On the bright side, you're all correct. This game defnitely deserves a 2nd chance, and a third and fourth and fifth imo, because as you can see by my playtime, I really really loved and missed DK. Which is why I will probably never stop giving this game second chances.
However, the fact remains. If devs don't like these kinds of reviews, they should stop selling games that are not finished. Esspecially games that I long to adore.
@trenchfoot: I keep seeing people changing their previous negative reviews after the huge 1.1 patch. Not saying he should automatically swap over to thumbs up, but the guy DID have 90 hours in the game when he wrote this review. That's a lot of game time.
I honestly want to know what this player thinks now that so many things have been fixed. I'm sure the Devs want to know as well. Would be nice to see his perspective post-patch.
Meanwhile, the game just popped up on the Summer sale, which is why I am here reading reviews to decide if I want to dive in. Seems like an easy choice at this point.
I just hope the Devs can keep pace and don't get burned out. They seem like nice guys as well as loving what they are making. Would be nice to see them succeed and go on to make more gems.
