An enjoyable indie story-oriented game that lasts about 2 hours. What I minded though was how the choices you make lack gravitas due to having to make them uninformed. You have to defend or accuse a person without having enough information about them to be able to actually hold an opinion about them in the first place.

In general, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the game, but it definitely felt underdeveloped. A 6/10 experience.

How to know that a telltale game will be amazing? It has this guy as a director: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2550705/.

It's hard to judge which telltale game is the best, but this one is definitely a contender for the first place.

While my recommendation is marked as negative, I'd like for it to be seen as neutral.

I have been on the Telltale hypetrain ever since I got my hands on Walking Dead season 1, so I suppose I'm a relatively new fan - even though the genre that telltale is nowadays famous for originates exactly in that game.

I have loved every one of their games ever since, and could write a positive review for each. This game however, I can only describe as average by modern telltale standard.

You will have fun, you will enjoy the game, and I suppose it is worth buying. It is however also the weakest telltale entry to date (not including Minecraft since it's too early to make an opinion). This is altogether even sadder due to the fact that they have spent the most development time on this product. How that managed to happen I'll never be able to guess, and it's a shame. You can notice that a lot of thought went into this product, but it just fails to stand next to other telltale entries. It lacks gradual build-up across episodes, but most of all it lacks soul. Going from one episode to another doesn't feel like you are moving forward towards an epic ending - which it did in other telltale games & also life is strange (by the developer Dontnod, which I definitely can recommend), it feels like watching an alright movie.

Not a great movie, not a bad movie, not a boring movie, but a meh-I-suppose-I-can-spend-my-evening-on-this type of movie.

Even better than walking dead, although first two episodes might throw some off.

I thought Blue Steel is a reference to Zoolander. No it's not. It's a reference for a subpar set. Not worth the 2 eur...

This game is badly optimized.

But, they've one a better job with it than with the previous MK. And since I already liked the last MK even despite of its poor multiplayer options and bad optimization, this makes MK X a good purchase. I didn't pay the full steam price for it, but even if I did, I think I'd be satisfied.

Multiplayer still has similar issues like the last one did, in terms of relying on both players to have a stable and fast connection. But that's just something that will always be a requirement with fighting games. The multiplayer has now so many more play modes that it's crazy. So far I also didn't play against a single lagging person, although I chose my game through the in-game channels, so that I can be sure to get Europeans.

Story looks the same like last time, although I'm only at the start of it.

Figher roster is nice, comparable to last game.

New fighting mechanics, changing about as much as the superhero fighting game changed from the last MK. So just about the right amount.

New art style, I like it.

All in all, I can recommend the game. It is badly optimized, but at least it doesn't rely on the user spending hours to fix the problem himself like the previous MK did. Despite the rocky launch the game works almost flawlessly now, with only an occassional crash here and there - for this I recommend you play on windowed mode, because if the game freezes on fullscreen you might as well restart the computer.

Score: 8/10. It would be 10/10 if it wasn't for the stereotypical PC-fighting-game-port problems. But hey, at least there's some improvement over last time...

I really hope this game will set a new standard for other videogame companies to follow. This is exactly how remakes should be handled.

Graphics are vastly improved, while still keeping in line with the original style. Music is as amazing as it ever was.
The sections of the game which used to provide challenges, finding secret areas, have been expanded on greatly.

This game was attempting to find a balance between giving its audiences new content and still keeping its feet deeply rooted in the original. And I gotta say, it definitely achieved that goal.

10/10

Great gameplay, but it has too much Jay-Z.
