Considering matchmaking is broken for the second day in a row, after a rep for the studio said "What happens when the servers go down? Well they won't go down", I can't recommend this. It doesn't work, don't buy it.

Honestly I don't even like this game that much. It's just really satisfying. I think a lot of it comes down to the audio effects. They give such a sense of tactility to the game that makes tiny things like just playing a card, upgrading, or buying something at a shop feel like you've really done something physically. It's my go-to chill game while listening to a podcast or hanging out in a discord call.

Incredibly tightly-made game. The gameplay is endlessly replayable, the story is equally engrossing whether you finish it in 10 hours or 100, there are literally 10's of 1000's of lines of dialogue, the voice acting is award-winning.....It won 2021 Game of the Year and it was ABSOLUTELY deserved. Play this even if you don't tend to like roguelikes, even if you're not good at action games, even if you play games for the story. It's that good

At this immediate moment I unfortunately cannot recommend PD2. This game's lifeblood is in its co-op, and the recent update has broken that co-op for many players in the name of making money from Epic Games. To clarify, this isn't a "crabs in a bucket" mentality of being mad that I've paid for this game and EGS players get it free. I'm happy to have more people to play with. I just want to actually be able to play with them, and with the networking as it is now, that isn't really possible.
