I reccomend it , althought it was very hard for me to make it work on my ubuntu, if it doesnt work , try this :
1.-Set in launch options this : LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH ./portal2_linux %command%
2.-Copy al the files in the bin folder of portal 2 and paste it on the bin folder of portal stories:Mel , and do not overwrite anything
