All lobbies are 90% bots with 2-4 humans, ranked included. This is incredibly apparent coming from the beta which i do not think used them. Skiing in straight lines in packs across the map, firing a set distance behind you

Gameplay is good. Port is bad. Game is unfinished. Same issues from mk11 exist. I will continue to play because it's MK, but I feel bad about supporting this product.

Awesome game. Poor netcode, but playable for the most part. Small community, matchmaking can go from masters to low ranks between games. The combo structure and special system is fairly simple and provides a base to learn new characters, but the unique skill system helps each character feel unique. What seems like a relatively simple game branches out into a robust experience allowing for some pretty deep pressure sequences and decision making. Best $2 I've ever spent on a fighting game.

It took me a few hours to really understand the flow of combat and movement, but the creativity and speed this game can provide is worth the wait. It does not come without flaws, however.

The cybervoid sections being tied to individual level runs (cutscenes and all) is criminal. They were annoying at best on my first playthrough, why am I forced to run them again if I want to go back and time trial on the fun parts of the level? It seems as though they needed to feed you narrative, decided it was not in their best interest to put it in a cutscene, and made mindless puzzles so you have something to do while listening to it. Seriously, I want to play more of the cool go fast ninja mode, not spam slide jump and wait for tetris pieces to move.

On a brighter note, the kill runs have been very fun for me so far. I just wish there were more of them. I expected maybe author times to trial against, or leaderboards at the very least, but they don't seem to exist. The movement is so fun that I want to play the game, but the lack of reason to grind / get better really makes it feel pointless. Comparing to Neon White's individual level global leaderboards and various built in marathon category leaderboards, this game comes up very short.

Gameplay is a 10/10, but the longevity is likely not there for me. But who knows, the gameplay may just be enough to keep drawing me back (and crouch sliding myself off cliffs in the cybervoid).

TLDR - Multiplayer versus is pretty horrendous in its current iteration but could be vastly improved over time.

Opinions on mp versus only - I did not play Co-op modes

-Drip feed progression. Weapons appear to be unlocked as you progress, but you only unlock the ability to purchase them... at a very slow pace. Choosing between buying new weapons to try and buying attachments for my current weapons is lame, an arbitrary 500 shatterbucks (One third of the cost of an entire weapon at the second tier??!) to purchase additional attachment slots, really?

-The gunplay feels passable but somewhat unresponsive at times. It really just doesn't do anything new. TTK feels very high in general, though this could be more your style I just didn't care for it.

-Class design is annoying and flawed from the ground up. Not being able to access entire areas of the map due to class choice feels terrible. I often found myself just picking characters based on this rather than actually caring what they do, be it recon to climb or just picking a doorkicker for the first 2 minutes of a game to kick down doors. Some abilities are cool, but they're pretty much what you'd expect. Various grenades, walls, movement modifiers, shields. They're not really innovating here, yet nothing really feels out of place outside of a few standout abilities. **These probably feel just fine in coop modes**, but seem shoehorned into multiplayer with no real reasoning behind them.

-The game will not ask you what server you would like to play on when you first log in, and will opt you in to every server on the planet. Combined with a lack of a ping display in the tab menu, you may find yourself playing a match and wondering why it feels like ♥♥♥♥, only to hopefully see "Asia Pacific" on the bottom of your menu screen and realize what's going on.

As it stands, this game borrows some of my least favorite aspects of modern FPS titles and implements them in a way that is somehow even more obnoxious than the games that they are borrowed from. That being said, I can see this becoming an enjoyable game with some work. Right now though, I would not recommend it.

Fun concept, but I have no idea how the multiplayer shipped in this state. If you are thinking about this game, realize that it is a single player title at this point. Low playerbase + horrible netcode makes for an incredibly bad time if you opt into multiplayer.
