Just one of those games that I can't help but come back to. Still being updated and tweaked years after release is only a good sign. I think some people find the nature of this game (where technically you can play the same survivor group forever) a bit of a miss, but I think that perennial nature of it is nice and lends itself to the feeling of surviving. Sometimes it is a grind or a bit hard to survive in a zombie apocalypse!

I've had this game since 2017 and War of the Chosen since 2018. Recently started playing again the last two weeks with no issue (even with this 2K launcher) until yesterday. Inexplicably it's now completely broken and will not launch with or without mods enabled.

There are some janky fixes or third party launchers that seem to work for some, but it's ridiculous that they've taken a 5 year old game that's previously worked fine, changed the launcher into one that was buggy but still worked, then somehow completely bricked said launcher for a non-insignificant amount of people just as they put it on sale. If you're looking to pick this up, AVOID until 2K at least acknowledge the problem. The game is very enjoyable and has a great mod scene, but literally will not launch and there's been complete radio silence from the publisher.
