It might not be for everyone, but it is incredible.

Play it, even if you don't buy it at full price, this is a game you should play.

It is a very building narrative that leads to a disappointing ending but that's what life is and that's why I love Firewatch, not every game has to be a great mystery or a grand conspiracy about a father murdering his son. Firewatch is a game about a normal man who tries to escape his difficult situation. It shows this man building a relationship with his new boss, both of them trying to avoid confronting their demons. It shows a husband who has a sick wife that he feels powerless with. And it shows a father insane with remorse for his son's death. I loved Firewatch because it wasn't what I expected. I expected a typical depthless story where the father of the dead boy was going to attack me or kill me to take my place. I expected a huge conspiracy involving the government and some sort of secret monitoring station that I was being kept out of for nefarious FBI expiriments. Firewatch had the potential to do that but instead chose the much more regular, much more believable story of a man getting let down at every turn, it may not be for everyone but Firewatch was great because it wasn't what everyone expected.

Great fun to watch Claptrap get three full houses in a row, and then when you lose GLaDOS berates you and your poker skills.

Great open-world shooter.
