One of the most beloved games to me, dove into into during hard times in life

I love the Adam Jensen series, wish they would continue for a trilogy at least

Game has flaws, mostly the main story isn't structured very well - and was cut short due to time and funding issues, but the sides quests are amazing.

Recommended it highly, probably one of the best futuristic games out there

Look, to be honest, It's pretty medicore, weak writing, weak premise, lack of direction

I only give it a positive because Arkane deserves a slack and I want more from this universe

4/10

Re-used maps from dishonored 2, main characther motivations are just shallow and un-gripping, It's an identity-less hero you don't want to be

It's really un-inspired all around and feel like a slog to go through, if you do a no kill run

Starts kinda intriguing and becomes stale very fast

Positives:
is Dishonored

Negative:
pretty much everything

My hours are AFK time, in general this is a 15~ hour game if you take your time, probably 7 hours if you rush it or less

Maybe it would be more fun to slaugther everyone on sight in this game, stealth here sure isn't satisfying for me

Brilliant game for the 60~ first hours or so,

I loved the exploration,
The narrative writing, feels very refreshing and curiosity opening
background OST is amazing,
I like the race lore,
Building is fun
Multi-player works pretty good,

No man sky experiments with ambitious concepts yet to be explored in any other video games

The game feels like it contains so much and yet so little, it is a very weird clash between a super simple gameplay loop, super complex rich world building, exploration, environmental story telling and lively lore

My worst stripe is that once the novelty illusion breaks (took me like 60~ hours), things start to feel a little repetitve and you see the general boxed forumla around everything,

I also think having materials so easily bought from stores, and having the anomaly contain almost all the blueprints in 1 concentrated place really makes exploration less fun, it reduces the time value of everything, and gives a stale sense of security that ruins the entire gameplay loop

-------------------
Things I think that would improve the game massively -

Make the planet generation more complex (not just scanning the same repetitve order - fauna, plants, cave minerals, underwater), literally every cave contains the same thing, coblat nodes, cave marrow, blabla.

Make finding and mining resources more worthy by removing it from shops, make the player feel satisfied by finally finding the materials themselves, remove these insane amount of ore nodes in caves, make the mineral prices much higher and rarer, infinite ores from mining quarries should be re-considered, or tweaked massively, it's just too OP and un-engaging

I think the Freighter is neat but it also reduces the meaning from building bases because it includes everything much better, there should be down-sides to it, and it should act an addition to gameplay, not something that reduces gameplay, once I got it, it felt like the game loop got siginificantly worst, it gives you too much safety and comfort, it is also very static and un-engaging, the level of safety in freigthers feel almost game ending to a degree, even though they are cool as hell

Make all the stuff you get on the Anomaly a thing of itself, let us find it, get it, do missions for it, reward exploration. - The fact that you can just hoard Tech modules \ Nanites and just get everything feels so wrong and eventually boring, it's like the ultimate de-valuation of the game's content, maybe keep it only for decorations,

Improve the combat a little, a bit more snappy feedback, more destruction on the enemies, more hostile creatures with interesting attacks and maneuvers, different weak spots, make the bullets not feel like you're shooting sponges out of a static stick lol

NPCs with more dynamic actions and animation would be a good addition, currently, most just wake in circles, holding something and looking at it, that's it, I get that there's a roleplaying element involved of imagining them performing certain acts via description, but really, you can improve on it a lot while keeping a gamey feel.

Balance the terrain manipulator - so you can't wipe literally everything including hazards in 1 tap.

Add some kind of looming threat to player bases aside from sentinals, something like how Terraria does it, hostile mobs roaming at night, at different weather, make a reason for mobs to hunt you passively, different antagonist motivations to harm the player - This would make sure the game would flow forward and there would be a real reason to make a base

-------------------

If you are looking to play this game, I would recommend to rush the story asap instead of messing around because you'll start to feel like you've seen it all too fast after a certain point,

Just take it all in, in a nice, short, contained experience, that would probably bypass that feeling.

------
Edit:
They still release new content, and the new Adrift Expedition was tons of fun.

Finally getting to play this game,

Enjoying it so far, I would say Gameplay is the strongest aspect of Dishonored 2.

It's not as Tactile and Snappy, lightweight and easy on the eyes like the first game, I think the art direction is inferior to Dishonored 1 even though the specs and production effort is clearly higher.

Game just feels very dense, blurry, hard on the eyes, too much post-processing going on.

I really hope this game gets a slight re-fining from Bethesda, re-visit the art direction a little bit, make everything more cohesive, remove the awful piss filter and this weird darkening of everything, remove un-needed visual noise, get the gameplay to feel more snappy, fix the FPS hitches, make colors pop better, change the marketing artwork, refresh this game a little, and so on,

I genuinely think it will boost long-term sales, if bethesda still cares.. dishonored 1 is still being re-played endlessly due to its light and snappy gameplay.

Really cool tribute to the best 2 fishing games of 2023,

Would be awesome if they could add a little bit more to it -

- Adding some cooksta posts regarding the fish,

- Making the abberated recipes researcable?

- Make the new dishes upgradable?

- Make the abberated fish farmable?

and so on and so on,

It is a sick collab though, and free, just needs a bit more polishing, or some kind of additional management aspect to it

Helldivers 2 bad ( I am part of the hivemind)

Seriously though, having the playable content locked for real money is very lame - this game already costs $50,

it has zero justifiction to take further money for content, especially since the game barely has any to begin with.

Extremely captivating game, enjoying it throughtly and only like 15 hours in (rest is AFK), wasn't there when it launched broken but I can see super high attention to detail, high levels of polish, voice acting, mo-cap and the production value is insane.

P.S
To have a playable session. if you got a Mid Tier PC:
Fov to atleast 90+
Make sure to disable Motion Blur
Disable Ray-Tracing
Put Screen Space Relefections to Medium
DLSS OFF
Fog Quality to High

Very Hard Difficulty the only option I see as challenging, so I recommend that.

Hoping to keep liking it + the DLCs.

Have a good one
