+ Very good gunplay
+ Gun customization is a simplified version of reboot COD MW, it just works. Some attachments are purely cosmetic so it doesn't over complicate stats adjustments
+ Really good idea to have player skins be basically nameless goons based on real life armed forces, across all rarities even up to the highest which is Legendary tier. Kinda funny to play as a Korean DMZ border guard but it's a breath of fresh air compared to goofy ahh named operators in both BF2042 and reboot COD. My favorite skin to use is the Korean Akh Unit 707th Group.
- New unlocks (gun attachments, battlepass, etc) are grindy as hell. I have to almost no life it for an entire month or two to keep up. Progression is way too slow. I have no choice but to buy weapon blueprints just to unlock gun attachments in advance.
- Still some room to improve with optimization
- 9 times out of 10 I have to play at a ping disadvantage, being a player from Asia myself
- Content (not enough guns and maps imo, lack of game modes kinda understandable given the scale of playerbase and dev team but nonetheless game modes is pretty barebones) is lacking, and the rate/roadmap of which new content is added is fairly slow

Considering how the mainstream fps crowd has kind of lost faith in the Battlefield franchise, and is mostly nonplussed by the state of COD today, WW3 could've capitalized on this opportunity if it was an overall better product than what we have now but there's still some ways to go before I can wholeheartedly recommend this game to someone else. There is a lot of potential in this game that isn't realized yet.

Recommended because it's the only mainline game in the series that's released natively for PC. It's an alright game, features like weather and clouds affecting flight mechanics are a welcome addition. But to be honest, that and the switch to Unreal Engine 4 are the only innovations Ace Combat 7 has to offer. Story is a rehash of the same campy anime tropes that were used to great effect in past titles, especially in AC5 and AC Zero - I got the feeling that the storywriters were trying to chase the peaks that those two titles have achieved, instead of trying new things. An aircraft roster that's lacking in comparison to past games doesn't help either.

Still a good game regardless, I just wish it had more to offer the deeper I go into the game.

Be prepared to grind though in NG+
