I'm lost for words on how amazing this game is, its a technical achievement beyond anything I've ever seen in VR, let alone non vr games. graphics, atmosphere and sound design are all on point, I remember standing there looking at city 17 with a huge smile on my face and I've had VR for over 2 years now, it truly is something that has to be experienced get how much of a game changer HL Alyx really is.

Gratz valve, now make Half life 3 damn it.

Pros:

Great graphics
Decent gunplay
Open levels

Cons:

The checkpoint system, aka spend 10 minutes fending off waves of germans only for you to die and have to spend another 10 minutes to get back to the point where you originally were. Only to then die because the dynamite you placed can go through walls and there isnt another checkpoint for 5 minutes still.
Bad hit detection in single player, I ♥♥♥♥ you not.
Misaligned sights on some guns, Sniper rifle you have to aim down not up to compensate.
Horrible checkpoint system
Terrible plot.
Dumb AI
Stealth mechanics are just a joke, even the mission where they want you to stealth just ends up being a loud firefight.

The game started out so good but the longer you play the more you see the games glaring issues. Shame, I liked this game early on.

Jesus christ overkill, 3 days into crimefest and you havent even made a statement about the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and hatred towards your company due to your reason actions. I loved this game. Even when you pulled several shady business practises previously, I didnt care about that as they didnt completetly screw over the game.

- Weapon balanced has been destroyed
- The game is obviously being made to go free to play, Its why they destroyed the modding community.
- Microtransactions which add actual pay 2 win stats to guns, well not that it didnt exist before, the power creep has been real for a while now, but this balatantly says they dont even care.. and the most importantt thing, they lied, I as a customer cannot trust overkill anymore and anyone reading this shouldn't ether.
