Also really enjoyed the included sneak peak to Bahnsen Knights. Though for now, I've still got Mothmen 1966 left to play :)

This just becomes incredibly boring after the 3rd or 4th run.

There's no feeling of progression that drives you to play another round, you know, that classic "just one more round feeling". I haven't seen a single new enemy in the last 5 hrs. I spend in this game.

Splitting a run into different areas/levels would at least be excitng, like Caverns in which you may encounter Vampires or Trolls and Woods with Elven enemies, Cities with Assassins... etc. something that makes the journey to the boss exciting and offers some lore, perhaps.

But instead all you get is the same boring map layout, where you get to choose different nodes like in StS (Treasures, Events, Elites & regular Fights) ... that lead to either 1 of the 3 End Bosses in the game (such excitement). A boss gives you 1 mutagen, collect 3 and get a story bit that is literally one drawn picture with a textbox one the side (only the first story bit is a bit animated, after that I guess they didn't want to bother anymore).

All in all, the story is lackluster and the gameplay is even worse.

Also some people seem to excuse all the things this game is lacking and all the critique it gets with "it's ok for $10" - really it's not, it's just dissapointing to see such a lazy release.

Really fun game to get you into that Halloween mood 🎃

It's very easy, but it's just so charming that playing through it doesn't get boring, regardless of the difficulty. It's also rather short (5-6 hrs if you reeally take your time & collect everything).

I'd recommend getting it on sale though. You can tell a lot of love went into this game, but the pricing was a misstep, imo. (40% - 50% off and you got yourself a 'good deal')

Also a perfect game for Kids, the difficulty is easy + the dialouge is tame (still funny though) & it's never actaully scary. In fact it threw me right back to the games I played as a kid.

The way it's described on the steam store page + the reviews the Dev has linked there make this game software sound fantastic, imo. And having played one of their previous titles I was inclined to believe this would be another worthwhile experience.

To be honest though, the different endings + final readings aren't interesting at all. My final reading consisted of two words let go . Other than enjoying looking at the artistic dioramas, I was just let down by how little enjoyment I got out of this title.

Every time I open this game with this slight feeling of excitement, thinking, 'maybe this time..'

And every time I close it thinking: My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.

The game's just incredibly fun and well done. The music, artwork & dialouge is extremely charming (although the enemies could use some more lines). Doing 'challenges' unlocks steam achievements + an entry in the enemy enciclopedia - which offers a short humorous profile of the enemy. The different Dice you play as, offer a great variety to battle through the dungeon anew & on top of it you get different 'episodes' which switch the gameplay up once more.

Imo; This game is also perfect for someone that wants a more 'casual' card battler than say, Slay The Spire, which is not to say this game is just mindless clicking away, but it feels more fun and easy to manage.

Great game to start 2021 for me & hopefully there's many more good ones I'll discover this year.
