This is a very enjoyable game by itself. However, the game is definitely meant to be played with knowledge of the films. At the very least, I'd highly recommend watching the original RoboCop prior to jumping into the game. The world and its actors are not explained well in the game, and you are thrown into an ongoing story, continuing from the films. While you can get the basic gist of the story, the framing of the films is important, especially for the character arc of RoboCop. In addition, there are so many nods to the films and easter eggs scattered about Detroit.

As a game itself it's a fun experience hopping into the role of RoboCop. You can tread through waves of enemies while they fire at you. No need for cover, you're heavily armored. It's an exciting feeling to bring the fight toward the enemy rather than inching forward from cover. The action scenes are mostly well placed, however, it can be annoying if you are a completionist as you need to stop and search the area for crime evidence to get the level bonuses. This is by no means necessary as you'll be able to level up often; I'd nearly maxed out every skill by the end of the game. There are minor RPG elements present, but is largely not the focus of the game, the story remains the same overall with some variations based on player choice. Definitely worth a try if you like action games.

Early Access Review
Great fishing minigame and encourages exploration and base building both with stats and levels tied to each. Wish there was more variety in the building types you can make. Early access but plenty to do.

Good customization options, decent balance among weapon choices. Trinkets are a bit lacking in variety, really feel that's a weak part of the game. Great music and art direction as well.

The Outer Wilds is an amazing adventure with some really interesting puzzle elements. The focus on the game is exploration and finding new information. It has become one of my favorite games. The game is beautiful and you should experience it.

A basic game but pretty fun. Though not much reason to diversify your crops or what you are farming.

This is a great port of a classic. Excellent controller support. No graphical lag although it is a 30 fps game.

The gameplay itself has aged decently. The combat isn't too challenging but it will make you think about your actions carefully. You can cancel enemies' attacks and vice versa. The magic and skill books allow you to have some level of customization on character magic. It's entirely up to you how tou level your skills and magic.

The world is well thought out but people may be turned off by the linearity of the game. The narrative does a good job keeping up the pacing aside from a few longer areas where it feels you have to drag through. Side questing is pretty limited as well. All in all the game will probably get you a good 30 hours.

There are the occasional graphical and music glitches. Usually only resolved once the game is restarted.

The game was choppy even on lowered settings. Stuttering throught matches and ring entrances. Custom characters have pretty limited options. The matches themselves seem to lack variety, seems each character really rotates through 3-4 moves.

I am not just a paid advertiser for this game, but also a player of the game. Play TF2 because it really is the most fun you can have online right now
