Early Access Review
A classic Call of Duty promise, but lacking most of the tricks that gave old COD games their zing.

Quick background on my FPS experience. I have played call of duty 2, but spent most of my time (over 8,000 hours) playing Call of Duty 4 (promod) in a professional enviroment. All a developer needs to do is follow the success of COD4 and its mechanics, instead of trying to re-create the wheel so to speak.

BATTALION 1944 can stand on two legs, provide an entertaining Team Deathmatch and some decent oldschool Search and Destroy gameplay. Beyond that, this game stuffers heavily from trying to be more than it should. The game itself features gaping hole bugs, which is expected for an early access.

Fundemental Problems:
  • Movement is completley unlike the infamous popular Call of Duty 4 (COD4).
  • An economy system does not belong in a game trying to appeal to an First-Person-Shooter (CS:GO) Alternative.
  • Tiny player base. Launch went from 16,000+ active players to around 600 a day.
  • Development team seems to be pushing to make adjustments, rather than following a community suggestion.

Not all is Doom and Gloom:
  • A natural competitive nature where skills will outweigh a lacking opponent.
  • Game has an active developer, unlike multiple alternative FPS titles.
  • The skin and loot system does not impact the gameplay in the slightest.

Conclusion:

The game itself would be worthy of a purchase if there was an active playerbase, the main problem plaguing the scene is the lack of active players. Eventually this can be solved by more polished game, key features being tackled and the developers listening to community memebers.

Okay cool. I won't give away anything. Most people were expecting some weird horror, but it's so much more than that. Just don't even think its like anything you have played. Go in blind, and be torn away.

Would highly recommend this to anybody who has a sence of adventure and enjoys thinking.

Simply one of the most enjoyable cooperative games to date, featuring a rich storyline and even works as a teamwork simulator. The storyline is long, stocked up on missions, side missions and even extra side missions on side missions. There is plenty to do and plenty to see, from almost alive jungles to the pesky rat-bird.

Overall I would highly recommend playing Borderlands 1 and 2 with friends in that order.

CS:GO Review
This game is what i expected after the great Counter-Strike 1.6 through to Counter-Strike: Source. While the gameplay feels completley different, it exists in its own ecosystem stuffed with action and competitive nature.

Highly recommended for anybody who wants to spend hours growing in a competitive enviroment.
