Glad they worked out the PSN account linking issue. Updating my review to show that I do sometimes enjoy playing this game.

Number go up? Number go up. Number go up real good. Space ninjas + magic + number go up = good.

Haven't been able to put it down ever since I started playing. The structure has a Destiny-ish vibe to it, but I feel like they do a much better job at guiding you and tutorializing all the stuff they added throughout the years. Solid, fast-paced fun.

Early Access Review
I could name 100 other things that cost the same as this game and aren't as good or fun. That last beer I drank. That burger I ate yesterday. Today's breakfast. I could go on.

Point is, this game is a lot more fun and entertaining than one would think before playing it. The loop is very simple, survive 30 minutes. You only need WASD keys or an analog stick. Your weapons auto-attack, and they are very distinct from one another. You can carry up to 5 at a time, they get more powerful, they can evolve. As you go through, you will unlock other weapons, power-ups, and characters (which have their own starting weapon and unique stats).

This game somehow managed to pull me away from Elden Ring for 7 hours, which is something nothing else in my life has been able to do so far. So yes. Give it a try.

Do you like Souls games? Do you like open world exploration? Then this is for you. 45 hours in, I'm level 60 and I still run into random bosses that one-shot me. This game is pretty damn huge.

If you like run-based deckbuilders and action, then this is the game for you. There are different kinds of starter decks you can unlock as you progress (think defensive, aggressive, damage over time, grapples, etc). It has 6 or 7 difficulty levels which I think makes it very accessible for people who are still learning how these games work. Some of the difficulty levels let you replay fights or replay turns, which means that on those difficulty settings you decide when the run is over (as opposed as your run ends as soon as you die).

Things I was wondering before purchasing: Can you turn off the blood? Yes. Can you make it darker (there's too much damn white and bright for my eyes)? Yes. How long does an average run take? The farthest I've made it so far is about 3/5 of the way and took me about an hour. So if I had to guess maybe a full run would be around 2.

I think it's worth checking out.

Finished it on PS4 some years ago. Then I bought this here on sale with all the DLC to play at a smooth framerate. On my way to finishing it again with a different build.

If you're into what some people call metroidvania games, this one is a very good one of those. What I mean is, you explore an area, notice some ledges out of reach, make a mental note and return afterwards after you get a new power that helps you reach the ledge. Of course, this is not to say that the game is just the mechanics and exploration. The environments, mood, tone, and characters are what make this game interesting at least to me. The game manages to find a way to make the unfolding events have weight and meaning.

I don't agree with some comparisons to Souls games. This game has some tough areas and a few difficult bosses, but to me it never got to the point where they feel frustrating or demoralizing like some Souls areas/bosses would feel. Death is also not as punishing, since you don't lose experience, nor anything really. The game also has save points in rooms adjacent or at least extremely close to most bosses too.

I guess as a last comment I'll say I almost never 100% games. In this case, by the time I was done with all 3 endings I had already about 95% of the achievements unlocked, so I went back and finished the ones I had missed. BTW, you do _not_ need to start a new save in order to unlock any of the alternate endings.

Early Access Review
If you're into factory games like Satisfactory (excellent) and Factorio (also great), then you will most definitely enjoy Dyson Sphere Program. It's impressive how polished it is and how much content there is available already in the game. The developers seem to be engaged with the community and are constantly pushing improvements.

Of course, being Early Access means that not everything is explained off the bat, or can be a bit confusing. You may have to visit a wiki or watch some videos with tips to figure some systems out. That being said, once you figure things out this game turns into tons and tons of automating fun.

Being able to hover with your jetpack since early in the game makes building (and even destroying to rebuild) in this game very enjoyable. I'm not usually a big fan of tearing assembly lines in order to reorder or redesign, but in this game I'm finding myself doing it more often and actually enjoying it.

All in all, great game. Can't wait to see what else they add in the future.

Bought it and played it non stop for 7 hours before realizing it was 3am. It brings me back to the Baseball Stars (NES) days. Really loving it so far.
