The Total war series is one of the only games that I would say I follow 'loyally'. Epic scale, historical simulation, beautiful graphics, and even RPG elements for your generals; this game truly is a 'story engine'.

More in line with the feel of M2TW, as opposed to the minutae of Empire TW, what it lacks in scale and cultural differences it makes up for in immersion and strategic nuance. 10/10, and not a game to miss.
