Honestly, as someone who enjoyed the base game content. There really is no content here. That or I've gotten old enough I'm not entertained by the exact same content cycles with 1 content update and x12 different cosmetic GACHA's.

If you enjoy GACHA and you enjoy hanging out in a chat room with others and just talking about random stuff socially or occasionally going on grind runs then yes you will enjoy this game. It's not for me and it's not for those who enjoy more substantive RPGs.

Game was quite fun, easily 150hrs for a full playthrough. I've got good knowledge of the PF system but I don't min/max as much esp on a 1st playthrough. While I built a solid character (Monk/Dragon Desciple/Sorcerer) I didn't want to have to micromanage all builds. I will say if you use the Default builds given by the game, you will struggle in end-game allies with less than +40 to-hit will struggle to land blows on the final enemies (given they have 50+ Armor Class) and most builds with a +5 Weapon and +6 Stat belt with some buffs will have +30-35 Attack (meaning they can hit a 55 on a 20 so you're looking at less than 25% hit rate while the enemy routinely whacks you for 80 damage a hit. On Core+ you'll have to really know the game and CC or maximize damage because the default builds will not fly above Normal Difficulty which I highly recommend for your first run.

Some regions, esp one in Chapter 3 feel way overturned and if you don't have what is needed to counter them, well you better pray for nat 20's on your attacks. A fair bit of fun with the system is expressing builds and trying out new things but there are many times where you *need* a powerful Dispeller or someone who targets Reflex Saves with Magic and has high Spell-Penetration. If you don't check specific boxes you will have a bad time because there are assumptions made in Paizo's higher CR enemies (such as having Death Ward on all PCs or having a dispelling caster or a Cleric/Oracle (Daeran's default build will work for a healer very well though).

So if you enjoy CRPGs, like the Pathfinder or Dungeons and Dragons style gameplay/system then this is a great game to pick up. Play on Normal or lower if using the default game builds or you're new to Pathfinder... Core Difficulty is the TTRPG ruleset and it's hard mode which should tell you what the actual hard mode in game would be. It is definitely worth your money though and is well made; the bugs I encountered were mostly minor:
- Bugged attacks in Turnbase mode (have both Move/Standard action) but being unable to attack; no the character was not paralyzed/stunned or fascinated.
- Glitchy handling of Dominate/Madness effects a few times a character would become 'stuck' as an enemy and I was forced to either reload or kill them to resolve it.
- Ragdolls flying out of loot range, is minor and funny.
- Feared enemies will run the entire map to get away from you. Sometimes into other combats, so best to run back and let them reset if they start running into unexplored areas.

My only complaints really is that the Crusader Mode is a bit lackluster in goals. It plays like Risk/Military Management game but otherwise it's not very engaging which made Ch3 and Ch5 drag out a fair bit.

Early Access Review
Simply put:
- Witty
- Tight and Responsive controls
- Adjustable Difficulty and reasonable assistance for people who aren't great at the genre without feeling like cheating.
- Amazing number of combinations.

If those sound good and you like Roguelikes or just Greek Mythos with witty nature the give Hades a go.

They actually listened and removed the stats on skins, made them available by playing and introduced the more acceptable cosmetic pack DLCs people can choose to buy to support the company or not to if they just want the base experience. If you like shooters, then this is worth a pickup.

*Leaving this for record of the past*
This used to be a great game. I loved it and I loved playing it. Then Crimefest 2015 happened. A community event where we unlocked free content for players. What we got was Microstransactions. You got it, Pay for Skins. Not just that, these Skins have stat boosts. Payday 2 is officially Pay-2-Win with Pay for Power implemented.
