I love this game, and I would almost recommend it if not for a bug I keep running into that prevents me from closing windows. Sometimes I can plug in a controller and mash B to close and escape menus, other times it doesn't work and I lose progress.

It autosaves, so it's not much progress lost, but it happens constantly.

Is this an RPG Grindfest in card game form? Sure! But it's a really fun one that's fantastic to pass time with.

A fun, frenetic action platformer, sort of Kirby meets Touhou. It can be really chaotic, but it is extremely fun, with short, concise levels and a copy mechanic that combines into thousands of combinations.

I've actually put a lot more time in this then my Steam profile lets on, since I originally bought the game on a different service, and bought it again on Steam for the cloud saves. Let that speak what it will of this game, since I'll keep coming back to this one time and again.

I've lost many an hour to this game, and was I glad to see it coming to Steam a couple of years back.

It's a fantastic update to the Age of games, focusing more on godly might than military prowress, and is one of my favorite short-match RTS games out there.

A wonderful game with a high amount of charm. Some aspects can be clunky, though, like the right mouse to look around during gathering time. Otherwise, the game and devs have good potential, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

ETA: Since I've posted this review, its sequel came out (in Early Access) and straight up slapped me in the face. I loved this game, but I understood they dropped it for their VR game. Now they've announced a sequel to a half-finished game not even a short while after the original game's cancellation, and it's already released. Sorry, changing my review. I REALLY want to suppor these guys, too.

Shoppe Keep itself is a fairly small game, especially for the price tag. But this game is fairly well polished, with a lot of love from the devs, and it definitely shows through. Yes, it's a little repetative, but to people who played say, Reccetear, but don't want the goals breathing down their necks, this is the game for you.

It's an enjoyable little title, with a great community, and a very small amount of devs. and one that needs some love.

It's a good way to relax and kill a few hours, is all I'm saying.

10/10 Would kidnap 64 Queen Brahnes again.

Seriously speaking now.

I flipping loved this game back in the PSX era, buying myself a copy and receiving another for Christmas. I ended up emulating it later in its life, and also buying it on my PSP just so I could have it portable. I still remember looking for all the Chocographs on my first playthrough, a copy of GameFan with the list of locations open on my bed, and not wanting to fail the sword fight at the beginning. I've perfected it by now.

My only real qualms about hte PC port is its odd English at points. It seems they've only find and replaced the phrase "Memory Card" out with "Folder Page" on the PC port, and sometimes it ends up sounding odd.

As for the lores prerender graphics? Pretty sure that's the same res as the original game. Wouldn't kill them to recreate it, but I'll let it slide for being what it is.

I've also not suffered choppy or lagging battles, though I'm running it on my potato laptop.

Now if you need me, I need to get back to my Chocobos.
