Everything about this game is amazing. The gritty atmosphere and look, funky and fitting soundtrack as well as core gameplay loop being addictive.

The new items added are also very fun to use and add a whole new depth of strategy to it.

Loved this game the second it came out on itch.io. Very happy to see that blew up (no pun intended) in popularity and now is on steam. Worth every penny. Also multiplayer is in works so it will be even better when that comes out, so you'll be able to play this family friendly activity with your friends!

After 8 years, the developers couldn't be bothered to add a proper fix to resolve connection between players. Me and my friend bought this game to finally play it together but turns out that you have to perform ancient rituals with port forwarding, router settings and even that isn't guaranteed to work, which it didn't for us. On the discussion forums, I kid you not, there are 15 pages of threads each having connectivity issues with their friends. I guess this isn't much of a problem for the dev to fix...

Imagine getting hold of a beautiful game and censoring it for the sake of twitter approval points.
I literally had to check who "Hidden Variable Studios" were and they're a hecking mobile game shovelware "developer" that only made three mobile games and these people were handed Skullgirls. Absolutely disgusting.

This is a retro style game which has a desert level but no mummies - 0/10.

Quantity =/= Quality the game.

First of all, this is the worst PC port I've seen in years. To this very day many people are still having issues with crashes, low framerates, invisible enemies, stutters etc. It's especially weird because all previous titles aside from DS1 had 0 issues and were well ported. Not to mention that they decided to add Easy Anti Cheat which is notorious for not only being completely useless vs cheaters but also affecting game performance.

The open world of this game adds literally nothing to the experience, only takes away from it. It honestly feels like the horse is an afterthought they put later on. Constant reused assets from caves and same looking copypasted dungeons to soldier camps to same castles to enemies and bosses you get to fight throughout the entire game. Cruicible knights and erdtree spirits and avatars for example. Once you've reached halfpoint of the game you've seen all the enemies the game has to offer.

This is the first souls game where I actively had to seek content. You arrive at a random cave or dungeon clear it under 10 minutes and then search for another point of interest, rinse and repeat. I have never been so bored playing a fromsoft game, when so many reviewers called this game a "masterpiece" I believed them for a second, but after playing the game myself, it's anything but. There were times when I was so bored of the game I just turned it off to do something else. At later point of the game I was so burnt out I just wanted to finish the game and never touch it again.
That being said, legacy dungeons are the best part of the game along with the best bosses this game can offer.

At the end of the day there's some redeeming qualities to this game but there are very few inbetween. I can't say that I recommend this game, not for its awful pc performance or the gameplay itself. Buy it at a huge sale if you haven't already.

I hope future soul titles will go back to being content packed experiences rather than being in a barren, empty and boring open world.

Finally a good roguelike with guns and coop.
They really did well so each weapon has an oomph to it and fun to use.

Really cute and short puzzle game where you make everyone happy.

It's easy to get blinded by the overwhelming positive feedback about this game, but do not be fooled - it's not for everyone. Especially not for the people like me who like to take their time with the games they play.

I personally think it should be a crime to put a timer in an exploration game, but Outer Wilds doesn't put one timer, it puts it multiple times on multiple planets on top of the major timer. There's nothing worse than being rushed when playing a game. Eventually, I found myself struggling booting the game up because of major time constraints.

How dare you make such an awesome game and hand it out for free?!
