I can count on one hand number of times a form of media has had such an impact on me that I've spent a whole day in a post-completion stupor, thinking about the experience I'd just had, the journey I'd just been on, the feelings I'd felt. Shockwaves of emotion emanate from the memory of the story, just as powerful as they were when originally felt. Lessons are learnt, hours are spent looking up fanart, theories, experiences from other players - anything to keep the journey alive.

Undertale was an experience I'll never forget, ranking amongst games, films, novels and series that have stayed with me for years. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that no game has made me connect with its characters on as strong a level as Undertale did, and they lack three dimensions and voice-acted speech. I genuinely laughed out loud at several parts of the game, bawled like a child at others, and loved every second of it.

If you do pick up Undertale (which I cannot recommend enough that you do), do yourself a favour and really get into it. If you do, you'll find a game that will reciprocate the action, only it'll be there to stay.

Not so much a game as it is a story, but it's a damn beautiful one. Really the only gameplay is a small puzzle every now and then and walking around a level. Other than that it's only story.

Definitely worth a purchase if you want to feel the feeeeeeeeeeeeeels.

After buying this game for console it quickly became my GotY 2011. Everything from the deep combat system, the story, the enviroment and the difficulty is sublime. The PC version is a little rocky at start before applying fixes and using a keyboard and mouse, but once that is overcome it's an improvement on an already near perfect game.

There is definitely challenge to this game but it doesn't take you for granted. It doesn't tend to throw helpful tips or tricks your way but lets you figure them out for yourself. Learning that boss' attack pattern and finding its weak area by yourself if a satisfaction absent in many of today's games and yet it is found in abundance in Dark Souls.

There is so much else to talk about but half of the fun comes from experimentation. If you are ready for Dark Souls, it's ready for you.

Aside from its shortcomings in terms of enemy variety and the overhyped gun variety, Borderlands is still a great game. Single player isn't really where it shines, but driving through the wastelands with three friends doesn't get much better than it does in this game.

If you can find people who haven't already played it to death (or can't wait until its sequal comes out) then definitely pick it up!

A classic indie game re-vamped. Awesomely fun run-and-gun gameplay that has incredibly smart diffiulty scaling. The music is amazing as well - do not be surprised to find yourself humming along to some of the tunes. Although technically free on the internet, the game is very much worth £6. Highly recommended.

Addicting as hell. Surprisingly satisfying when playing your multitude of personal songs, and seeing how the game's engine morphs them into a playable track.
